I noticed last week that both shows took place in the Cajun Dome. Does that mean it was one long live show that got split into two aired shows or did they just use the Cajun Dome twice back to back like that? I figured someone on here must know.
Are Smackdown and Main Event filmed at the same time?

I think Main Event is filmed before SmackDown, like Superstars is filmed before RAW.
Main event is live at 8 EDT. Right after that at 9 EDT, Smackdown tapes until 11 EDT.
This is basically what I was asking. Both recorded at the same place on the same night. Huh
