Just curious.

I haven't had any for years and decided to take in a tree frog that was swimming in my mom's pool when my husband and I were in it. It was cute. The little girl isn't scared of people at all. We decided to get her a buddy from the petstore... Ironically... He is terrified of people. LOL She is a gray & he is a green. Very cute tree frogs.

Also... My brother's friend is giving me 3 leopard geckos tomorrow. I never owned one but I have had crested geckos. I am not sure what to expect because I have seen mixed reviews on them.

I never understood the point of a pet reptile.

I have two turtles a red ear slider and a Mississippi map. Make sure you get proper lighting for their enclosure. They may need a UV A lamp and a UV B lamp. Look into it.

The geckos? or the tree frogs? Because both are nocturnal and hide during the day so lighting is not required or necessary for either. Trust me, I read a lot about it because I always thought ALL tree frogs needed it and ALL geckos did. Leopard geckos don't need it because they live in the rocky parts of the desert and spend their days hiding under rocks. They only need a heating pad or rock and calcium supplement. They get most of their D3 from their diet because they are seldom out during the day. As for the tree frogs, both are native to Ohio and both hide all day & only come out during the night. They actually warn against putting the tank by a window with sunlight or using a light in the cage because it stresses them out.

Also, I did have crested geckos which DID require lighting but they were out all day. They basked for their vitamin D3 where leo geckos only get it through their diet.
AND OMGOSH YOU HAS TURTLES!!!! :yay: My husband wants to get one after we buy a house and name him Raphael. I am guessing he will want a red ear slider because of the name he wants to give it. lol

Oh they're nocturnal, didn't know. My red ear slider has orange ear markings. I'm sure you can guess what his name is.

I use to have one names Bones. She was an albino corn... Dumb petstore wasn't feeding her right and she didn't know how to eat so she starved to death :upset:
I also had a ball python... Who also died from a sinus infection... I will never buy animals from that place again!
