UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis is making quite some splash outside the octagon. While also signing with wheaties and being feature on the company's front cereal box, "Showtime" announced that he has signed a deal with Reebok to secure deals for footwear and apparel.

Pettis, who will make his octagon return at UFC 182 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena opposite ultimate fighter coach Gilbert Melendez now joins the like of UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as the next fighter in Reebok's MMA movement.

The champ recently took time to sit down and discuss his new deal with MMAFighting.com

Anthony Pettis said:
It’s cool that they chose me, I’m sure they had a lot of guys they could’ve chose from and they wanted to choose me. For me, it’s an amazing opportunity.

I definitely worked hard to be where I’m at right now and it’s cool to see it all unfold, see the brands that are recognizing mixed martial arts like that.

Pettis has only fought 5 times from 2011-2014 with the nagging of constant injuries being the cause of most of it. He was unsuccessful in his UFC debut against Clay Guida but came back and defeated Jeremy Stephens by decision. Since then he's finished Joe Lauzon, Donald Cerrcone, and most recently Benson Henderson whom he captured the title from in a rematch from WEC 53,which also saw Pettis take a title from Henderson.

UFC 182 will be the first time Pettis has fought in 17 months.
