Following a story.
UFC welterweight fighter Anthony Johnson took to Twitter last night to praise his new manager, Glenn Robinson of Authentic Sports Management, and take a few parting shots at his former manager Ken Pavia. The exchange involved a disagreement regarding an amount of money Johnson was supposed to receive from Pavia. Pavia stated that Johnson still owes the commission on the purse money, so Pavia deducted a sponsor check to make up for the amount lost:

This isn't the first time that Pavia has been called out by fighters for shady business practices. Mike Ciesnolevicz claimed he never saw a dime from sponsors because Pavia charged him 30% instead of 20% on commission along with charging him for extra banners and t-shirts. Joe Riggs had similar words about Pavia in March of 2007, and UFC veteran Dale Hartt listed a number of reasons why he disliked Pavia back in February of 2009. Oh, and there was that small issue in which Pavia and Bellator were sued by Zuffa last July. Jury is still out whether the allegations by Johnson are true, and we'll likely never know who is telling the truth.
