PWInsider.com is reporting Kurt Angle is expected to appear on the post-WrestleMania 33 RAW on April 3rd in Orlando, Florida. Angle will be inducted earlier that weekend into the WWE Hall of Fame.

While it is not known what Angle's role will be, there is an obvious spot opening up for the General Manager of RAW with Mick Foley undergoing hip surgery soon.

Angle hasn't appeared live on WWE television in over a decade. His last match for WWE was at an ECW taping on August 8, 2006, where he wrestled Sabu to a no contest.

It'll kind of suck if he ends up going to RAW, but it'll be nice to see him back on WWE TV, nonetheless.

Hell, they might give him one more run. And by being RAW GM, it might set up a feud with someone for Angle to put over at SummerSlam or WrestleMania or whatever they have in store for him. Although I wouldn't get my hopes up about him wrestling again.

Anyways, whether he returns as a GM, or someone's manager or whatever, it'll be cool to see him back because it's been too damn long.

Its a shame he is so beaten up that he can't compete anymore.

I will still maintain that TNA caused the biggest non personal tragedy in Professional Wrestling by denying us Danielson/Angle.

I'm not sure why people keep saying this....

He certainly can't work a full time schedule but he just had an amazing match with Cody Rhodes, he's not crippled by any shot of the imagination & he should have been brought in for WM, not post WM.

Even if it was just for a tag match. Even though IMO, he could be doing something WAY cooler.
Imagine the pop if he returned at the RR without telling anybody yet, or his music hitting only for him to get in the ring face to face with Taker.
The card sucks so far & they could have used that.... even if just for his name.

It's Kurt Angle, he deserves that for his return, he's not some midcard guy that was moderately popular.

I know exactly why they did it... they didn't want to take any focus off of Goldberg.

It's a bit more than just feeding to Goldberg or making him look strong. Random promotions or indies can use angle, if WWE does and he ends up getting seriously injured while working a match, it would make them look really bad. I think that's the main reason, they are just covering their asses.

Same thing goes for the guy that he's facing, probably wouldn't like knowing you injured one of the true greats of wrestling.

I think the RAW GM thing would work for him, it'd give him a nice comfortable part (even if its on the B Show).

I believe Angle has another run left in him and I personally can't wait to see it!.....If he is only a GM I'm fine with that as well.

Yeah I really hope he has one more run in him aswell, and THEN go to a gm role or something similar.

If he only comes back as a gm or manager that's cool too. The guy is a real legend, and so good that he could come back to tremendous cheers, and with one swift promo, be the most hated guy. He's just that good.

Either way as soon as I saw he was announced as a HOF inductee I was so happy. Can't wait to see him back home in the wwe, even if it is only just for the HOF. Atleast he's back in the right place.

It may-be an attempt to replicate the SmackDown Live
Daniel Bryan GM Role with Angle...and I guess it could
help to freshen up RAW...I'd rather have Angle on TV
than Foley.

If the rumored new "Evolution 2.0" led by Triple H does
actually become a reality...having Angle back on TV
and clashing with Hunter & Stephanie would be very
interesting and somewhat nostalgic for Attitude Era
fans.

Would I like to see Angle wrestle in WWE again...Yes...
Will I be upset if it doesn't happen...No...

Hopefully Angle will eventually move into a role with
NXT and work closely with the developmental talent.

His knowledge and experience should be passed on
to the next generation of in-ring performers.

Because it is fucking true. When he's not wrestling he's either on crutches or in a wheelchair.

Vince, believe it or not. Does not want wrestlers dying on his watch if he can help it. Kurt is a physical wreck despite multiple independent promoters being scummy/stupid enough to book him regularly. All it takes is one bad bump and Kurt goes out Misawa style.

I don't know. I mean, if he was really THAT bad then I'm sure he'd be smart enough to know not to wrestle...especially independent events. You know? Atleast I'd hope so.

I'm not saying hes not bad, I just don't think he's as bad as some people say.

Exactly...

And it's not even a matter of "think" as far a I'm concerned lol..... it's fact. There is footage... Can people not see when was is wrestling Cody how good he was working the match?

I'm almost certain they just wanted to save him for after Mania to not have the spotlight off of Goldberg at all and also to save some excitement for the next PPVs

I know it wouldn't have been a surprise because after they announced his HOF induction everybody was expecting it but that's exactly why they shouldn't have said anything until after RR where he SHOULD made his return... but instead we got Roman Reigns.

They were too worried about inducting Beth Phoenix to pay any attention to Kurt freakin Angle's HOF announcement..... idiots

"I'm not sure why people keep saying this" because WWE won't clear him that is why.

He is that bad. When he is working he's basically tranquilized up like a race horse.

Sure he can work for a few minutes, maybe even 30 minutes. But his neck and spine is so fucked up if he takes ONE bad bump he dies. Or best case scenario ends up in a wheelchair permanently.

Angle has no problem wrestling in this condition because he himself has said he has no problem dying in a ring. But any smart promoter does not want that on his conscience.

"I'm not sure why people keep saying this" because WWE won't clear him that is why.

"Its a shame he is so beaten up"

That's what my response was for.... and since you haven't seen him working a match recently, maybe you should go check it out bud because that statement is FALSE!

Won't clear him... we'll see after WM if you're right. They don't want him at WM, that's why he isn't there right now, he will wrestle after WM and has been wrestling GREAT matches before he signed with WWE again

You've contradicted yourself and made assumptions about what I have and haven't seen.

He's too beaten up to get cleared, he has had least 2 broken necks.
