Andy Souwer will take on K-1 MAX veteran Yoshihiro Sato at Shootboxing 2011 “act.2.â€￾ The card, which serves as an earthquake charity event, takes place on April 23.

Souwer, a three-time S-cup champion, was upset in the semifinals of the 2010 S-cup by Bellator veteran Toby Imada. Since then, he has gone 2-1 with victories over Panjonsuk and L’houcine Ouzgni sandwiching a loss to Abraham Roqueni. Souwer won the 2002, 2004 and 2008 S-cup championships and also won the K-1 World MAX championship in 2005 and 2007.

Sato defeated Michal Glogowski and Gado Drago to reach the finals of the K-1 World MAX 2010 tournament. There, he fell to Giorgio Petrosyan. So far this year, he is 1-1 with a win against Shemsi Beqiri and a loss to Petrosyanâ€￾s brother Armen.
