Andy Ogle vs. Charles Oliveira moves to UFC Fight Night 36's main-card opener
Following some recent card shuffling, a featherweight bout between Andy Ogle (9-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Charles Oliveira (16-4 MMA, 4-4 UFC) will now open next week’s UFC Fight Night 36 main card.
UFC Fight Night 36 takes place Feb. 15 at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
The event is the UFC’s first in Brazil in 2014. The main card airs live on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Ogle vs. Oliveira takes the televised spot previously held by lightweights Thiago Tavares (18-5-1 MMA, 8-5-1 UFC) and Zubair Tuhugov (15-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC). However, Douglas de Andrade (22-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) recently replaced the injured Tavares, and his bout with fellow UFC newcomer Tuhugov will now kick off the night’s prelims.
