Mark Munoz may count UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva as a friend. However, "The Spider" seems to feel quite differently after being called out by Munoz for a shot at his UFC 185-pound title.
Munoz, who defeated Chris Leben at UFC 138 this past weekend, spoke about receiving a shot at Silva during his post-fight interview inside the Octagon. Silva responded to Munoz while being interviewed by SporTV.com.
"I had not seen it," said Silva, of Munoz' request for a shot at the belt. "For me, Munoz was my friend, but that's okay."
Munoz was asked to train at Silva's training camp, Black House, by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira after the two worked out together. It was there where he was introduced to the likes of Ed Soares, Silva and Junior dos Santos.
As for Silva, he is still working back from a shoulder injury.
"I have a workout, it was cool, I felt much the shoulder, but I'm still recovering," Silva said. "Do not know yet when I go back (to fight), depends on my doctor
