UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was recently shown working out in a gym in Brazil alongside several of his usual training partners. This led many to believe "The Spider" was well on his way back to competing soon inside the Octagon.
That, however, may not be the case. Silva, while being interviewed by SporTV recently, said, "I'm not sure when I'll be back. I got an injury in my shoulder and another injury that just happened in my lumbar, so I'm treating myself."
In a report earlier this month, Silva's physiotherapist said the champion was 100 percent and would be returning to fight very soon. The comments by Silva, however, seem to say different. "The Spider" has not competed since UFC 134 in August, where he defeated Yushin Okami in the main event.
