fightline.com said:UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva picked up his phone and dialed UFC president Dana White Saturday night.
The Spider," who will defend his belt in July at UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman against Chris Weidman, informed the UFC boss that he wants a super-fight.
White, though, failed to say if Silva called for UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre or UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones during the post-fight press conference.
St-Pierre is expected to face Johny Hendricks later this year, while Jones is likely headed to the sidelines for several months after breaking his big toe in a win over Chael Sonnen.
I think everyone here knows my take on it. Seeing as the large size difference between Anderson Silva & Georges St-Pierre, I believe that Anderson would smash Georges and it would be bad for Georges' career. Anderson walks around at about 230 before making the cut to 185 where as Georges walks around at 190 so it would be pretty easy to see who would win.
He matches up well with Jon Jones seeing as Jones walks around at about 245, and plus their contrasting styles makes up for a great superfight. I believe that a Silva Vs Jones superfight makes the most sense, and if MMA can be legalized in the state of New York anytime soon.. I would love to see it in Madison Square Garden.
