Gray Maynard and Todd Duffee have both signed with American Kickboxing Academy, claims its head coach Javier Mendes.

Duffee has been a free agent for some time while Maynard recently left Xtreme Couture in search of somewhere to round out aspects of his game that he felt were lacking.

Mendes made mention of the signing in an interview with the Wrestling Observer following this week’s revelation that Josh Koscheck had departed the team.

“Our team is only going to get stronger .We’ve just signed up Todd Duffee and Gray Maynard to be part of the team,â€￾ Mendes said. “We’ve got Leandro Vieira coming in as our new jiujitsu coach and he’s one of the best teachers in the world.â€￾

Maynard seems like a good fit here stylistically, as for Duffe he's still young and can learn a lot as i belive Cain Velasquez trains at AKA as well.
