American Gladiators Rating

Last night's debut of "American Gladiators" which is hosted by Hulk Hogan drew a strong 5.9 cable rating. This rating was the highest non-sports rating in the age 18-49 demographic in that time period in almost three years. The show finished number in the time slot among the adults 18-34 and led all key male demographics. American Gladiators is the highest rated new show premiere on any network this season. NBC's highest premiere prior to Gladiators was "Heroes" debut on September 25, 2006.

Wow, Hulk can still draw. I expect an extension if this keeps up.

NBC's 'Gladiators'
comes back strong

New strongman reality series pulls a 4.8 in 18-49s

“Gladiators” averaged a 4.8 adults 18-49 rating, according to Nielsen overnights, down 18 percent from Sunday’s 5.9 for its premiere. Still, that came against very tough competition on Fox, which averaged a 7.3 in the 8 p.m. timeslot.

And “Gladiators” grew 23 percent from its first to its second half hour, from a 4.3 to a 5.3, in posting NBC’s best results of the season in the timeslot.
