Amanda Nunes vs. Alexis Dufresne added to UFC on FOX 11
A women’s bantamweight bout between Amanda Nunes (9-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Alexis Dufresne (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is the latest addition to next month’s UFC on FOX 11 fight card.
Nunes recently announced the bout, though UFC officials haven’t made a formal announcement.
UFC on FOX 11 takes place April 19 at Amway Center in Orlando. The main card airs on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Nunes vs. Dufresne will likely be part of the prelims.
Nunes looks for her third straight win following knockouts of Sheila Gaff and Germaine de Randamie under the UFC banner in 2013. The 25-year-old Brazilian, who’s previously competed for Strikeforce and Invicta FC, now has eight knockouts (and one submission) in nine career victories.
Dufresne, a UFC newcomer, turned pro 18 months ago and has posted five straight wins via first-round stoppage. The average time of each fight was just 77 seconds. Most recently, the Californian scored a 45-second knockout of Kim Couture in February.
