Am I the only one who's been sick of Jericho's gimmick? Now, don't get me wrong, I liked the gimmick at the beginning but now to me it's just boring and anyone can play the part that he's playing right now and it's just a waste of his charisma imo. He was a great heel throughout 2008 and his payoff at Wrestlemania is a handicap match against handicaps. I miss the charismatic RAW is Jericho! Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla! Y2J! Am I the only one?

Thoughts?

I think this can only go for so long. Jericho's but the same promo so many times that whenever he gets on the mic it almost loses meaning. I think that after WM he'll need a slight charachter adjustment, maybe become more of a mocking and arrogant heel, instead of the honest heel he plays now. It is just about to get really, really boring.

To be fair, you say "anyone could have played his role", but can you imagine how shit this Legends stuff would have been with a LESSER performer?

I've taken that into account but the last few weeks have been pretty generic and I feel they could easily slot someone into that role.

I'd love to see Legacy (Rhodes and DiBiase) doing it to keep them occupied and have Jericho in a meaningful Wrestlemania match.

^ That would actually be pretty fucking awesome. Have Cody/Ted against Piper/Snuka/Steamboat and then Jericho against Mysterio, Punk or even RVD.

I'm not simply saying that most aren't good enough to have a fued with legends. the fact is that the way thise fued has been written; with the amount of Mic time there has been... There are very few guys on the roster that could have pulled it off, let alone to the degree that Jericho has (regardless of the shitty match booked at the end of it all).

I can't speak for everyone, so I can't say you're the only one, but I know I'm not sick of it.... yet.
It' sperfect for the storyline he's in right now, but soon, after WM, he's going to be limited with what he can do, and they'll find he can be better served with the Rock n Roll personality back.
For now, I'm not sick of it at all. I've loved it actually. But soon, he needs to go back to the other gimmick (but stay a heel).

I think he has a purpose of doing this angle. Rather than a n00b getting straight at the legends whereas Jericho got to the top and now is no-where near the population of the legends so obviously he is highly irritated by this.

His honest heel gimmick easily fits with the current storyline that he's in right now, but I wouldn't say that he should get his character redeveloped after WM. It should happen after the draft is over and everybody gets our wish for Jericho to head to SD to be the top heel of the brand.

Just as MikeRaw said, I'm not sick of this gimmick at all since he's been putting on some great promos the past few weeks. And the ideas of him returning to his "King of the World" heel gimmick I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

Jericho vs Mysterio @ WM25 would be perfect though

This gimmick is awesome. It's got so many directions they can take it in and the whole Ayatollah of Rock N Rolla was only really good as a face gimmick, as a heel it's terrible at getting heat compared to this one.

Put him in a program with a guy like Triple H or Undertaker, that'll really give him some firepower :y:

I like it a lot. Real shame that jericho hasn't got a better match that this at 'Mania, but I guess you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

He's doing a great job with it, there's no doubt about it. It's just weird to look at Jericho who you know has some of the best charisma in the business completely toned down and monotone. If they do indeed move him to Smackdown and want him to become a top heel I'm not quite sure he'll be able to garner enough heat with this current angle to maintain the fan's interest. It's working for now and I'm not tired of it just yet. However, I don't think it should run for another entire year. I really don't think they'll be able to make the switch between the "Honest Man" heel and the "Ayatollah" heel. It would really be more logical for him to turn face for a short period...then back to heel. And I'm hoping to see a more WWE debut style Jericho back at some point...when he returned last year he seemed almost a watered down version of himself.

To be honest, I think this heel Jericho in a fued with the current Christian would be an interesting match up. They already have history together and think their promos/arguements would be fun to watch. Jericho being brutally honest and emotionless while Christian having constant remarks back.

I don't really see how they could make it happen, but I still think it'd be interesting to see.

I would like to see a Punk/Jericho feud. I've been thinking this since he came back. At first I would have liked a Heel Punk (which is like 99.999999% never gonna happen) and a face Jericho but a Jericho/Punk feud would be awesome even with the (imo watered down promo wise, his heel promos with Raven in FWA are brilliant) watered down Punk and super heel Jericho would be awesome, they could do wonders in the ring.
