Alone in the Dark Remake

Coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, the game will have some pedigree behind its writing with screenwriter Mikael Hedberg, who had the writing duties for SOMA and Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Taking place in the deep south of the United States during the years 1920, players will assume the role of either Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood as they search for Emily’s uncle, who has disappeared. Their search leads them to Derceto manor, a mental asylum where “something is lurking”.​

I'm always game for more survival horror games, really hope this turns out well. Looks promising so far!

I heard the AITD games weren't great but I never played one.

I heard the AITD games weren't great but I never played one.

I have only played Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare on PS1 when I was a teenager and barely remember it, but from what I can recall it was good, scary and similar to the other Silent Hill or Resident Evil games of that era. All I know from the other games is that the older ones are very retro but still considered cult classics, while the newer titles have been receiving severe negative reviews. I am definitely looking forward for this one, the previews look amazing.

This is really cool, the original Alone in the Dark games pretty much spawned the survival horror genre as a whole.
