I just saw that all classic episodes of Raw are leaving Peacock at the end of this month. Will they be on Netflix, or will they just disappear like NXT did?

I figure in due time they'll end up on Netflix. I'm thinking NXT will probably end up on CW's streaming service eventually. Unless they all go away until WWE puts all the archive content on one service (which will most likely be Netflix given that's who gets internationally).

Yeah I’m assuming they’ll end up on Netflix eventually.

Probably not right away but by the end of the year a good chunk should be on there

They'll probably wanna go through the content to rate it themselves like Peacock did which was a lot of the holdup when that switch, if they even care to have it at all. I don't think NXT archives ever make it to CW, the content bubble has burst and services are actively removing lesser watched content that they still have the rights for

This is probably the truth. hence why WWE Vault exists on Youtube.

This is honestly such bullshit. The whole point of streaming was so you could watch anything in the library and not have to watch what they offer you like cable. Curated content is basically just just in demand. You didn’t have to watch what was playing, but it was still a selected playlist that changed every month and it sucked.

This is why I hated the move to Peacock. I feared this would happen. I eventually stopped fighting it and was fine with Peacock because at least they eventually got everything up, but I need a source where I can pull up any raw or nitro when I want at a moment’s notice.

Hopefully some hero uploads the WWE Network to an archive.org link.

Tbh even if the Network had stayed a thing here, we would still probably be losing them, so the Peacock move I doubt is to blame, since the Network is shutting down everywhere completely.

That’s because international rights are going to Netflix. The Peacock move though starting the thought process of selling the rights to third party streaming services.

Maybe, but I don’t know. I mean if they are leaving Peacock like they are, it’s not to far fetched to think that the Network would be shutting down here as well if it was around still. Always a chance maybe it wouldn’t, but who knows. :lol

It’s hard to talk in maybes, but I don’t see the point of having a dedicated service to archived content only to shut it down for no reason when it was making a healthy amount of money prior to the Peacock sale. How successful it was was the entire reason Peacock paid what they did.

Also, I don’t believe peacock just arbitrarily deciding to kill the backlog. I have to assume it has something to do with the Netflix stuff. The timing is pretty much exactly on point.

So I looked into it because I’ve been so behind lately I didn’t even know about this Peacock stuff, but as I thought, the NXT archive went away first, as the OP mentioned, because the Peacock spokesperson said the move to CW caused them to have to pull it. I don’t know if that’s because they lost the rights to it and had to pull it or they just don’t want to promote a product that’s airing on a competing platform. The same thing now for Raw with that going to Netflix.

Which is why SmackDown content isn’t going anywhere on Peacock.

This honestly makes me feel a little better because I didn’t really read what the OP said and he was specifically just talking about Raw so as long as everything else stays up, I guess I can wait for Netflix to get the old Raws and I can still watch Nitro, thunder and SmackDown on Peacock.

We’ll truly never know I guess if it would be ending or not now. All I know, I’m thankful for the move to Peacock while it was a thing (and still will be for PPVs anyway) cause if not, I still wouldn’t have Peacock :bosque If it never happened.

I am gonna miss having the footage by the way, so I agree it sucks. I just feel this would be happening even if the Peacock deal never came about. I’m sure it eventually ends up on Netflix anyways.
