Keeping in theme with Clown's thread on Okada I decided to make one dedicated to one of my favorite Japanese wrestlers. Akira Tozawa.
The third man to graduate from the Dragon Gate Dojo. He was used mostly as a jobber (even being sent back to the dojo) in the start of his career and then as a slightly comedic lower card heel. He was then sent to America on a two year training trip, and this was were he prospered. He had some show stealing matches in PWG with Chris Hero and Kevin Steen and a great showing in PWG's DDT tournament with Steen. He was also one of the Japanese wrestlers used during the start up of Dragon Gate USA. Once he returned to Japan he got a major push and is now one of the better heels in the company. Leading the stable Mad Blankey. Tozawa is according to me one of the most entertaining heels in the business and a great wrestler all around, neither a high flyer, brawler or technician. He's good at everything to a certain degree. He's currently a Dragon Gate and DGUSA MVP in my opinion.
Here are some matches/tributes.
