As the Night of Infamy logo fades, and millions of people tune in to watch worldwide, a video airs before anything else could happen.
We see Paul Heyman, standing, his trademark smirk on his somewhat sadistic face.
Paul Heyman: We’re going down in Infamy.
An image of Triple H replaces Paul. Triple H looks deadly serious as he speaks.

And with that, the cameras cut to the stage…
PYRO!
PYRO!
PYRO!
PYRO!
PYRO!
Wait, I’m coming undone, irate,
I’m coming undone, too late,
I’m coming undone.
One looks so strong, so delicate.
Wait, I’m starting to suffocate,
And soon I anticipate,
I’m coming undone.
One looks so strong, so delicate.
As the theme plays, we cut to ringside where the two ring announcers for the AHW are sitting. One of them is Joey Styles, and the other is Jerry Lawler.
JL: Ladies and gentlemen, we are live at Madison Square Garden, this is the Night of Infamy! The debut show! A fourteen-match bumper card, Joey, this is definitely going down in history… or should I say, Infamy!
JS: You’re absolutely right Jerry, and on this night we will have champions crowned, contenders named and legends return!
JL: Yup, we have the Lightweight Championship, the Television Championship, the International Championship and the AHW World Championship all up for grabs tonight! Half of the huge card will be devoted to the Gold Sword Tournament, in which the winner will have to fight their way through three matches in order to obtain the Championship, and that’s not all we have in store for you tonight.
JS: We have the Monster Mash Match, where four monsters will be in the ring in a tag team competition. The ring will definitely be reinforced for that one when Snitsky teams up with The Great Khali to try and topple two Mark Henry and The Undertaker.
JL: Not to mention the two Dream Matches we have later on, with two legends of the ring returning in matches you could only dream of! Stone Cold Steve Austin will tackle the mighty Kane, and The Rock will battle John Bradshaw Layfield in two matches that could most definitely steal the show.
JS: Finlay, John Cena and Umaga will all do battle in a triple threat Falls Count Anywhere Match for the Television Championship in what might prove to be a really brutal match-up.
JL: Triple H will combat Chris Jericho for the International Championship in a Ladder Match, one of the most enduring matches you’ll ever come across.
JS: Shawn Michaels and Christian will be fighting it out in a Tables Match to determine who will become the Number One Contender to the International Championship…
JL: But to start things off, we have a ten-man gauntlet for the AHW Lightweight Championship! I can’t wait to start this thing!
MATCH ONE: AHW Lightweight Championship Hell’s Gauntlet
CARLITO vs CHAVO GUERRERO vs CM PUNK vs HARDCORE HOLLY vs JAMIE NOBLE vs JTG vs MATT HARDY vs SANTINO MARELLA vs SHAD vs SHELTON BENJAMIN
Howard Finkel: The following match is the Hell’s Gauntlet Match for the AHW Lightweight Championship!
Slowly, the ten men are introduced and make their way to the ring, JTG and Shad entering together. All ten men stand in the ring poised as the bell rings, and the first ever AHW match is underway! The men start with a huge brawl and it is hard to tell who is going after who. Slowly, among the slugfest, we can see that JTG and Shad are targeting Matt Hardy in a two-on-one assault. Carlito and Santino Marella are also going at it. Chavo Guerrero and CM Punk brawl and Hardcore Holly battles it out with Shelton Benjamin. This leaves Jamie Noble vacant, standing in the corner with a big grin on his face at not having to do any work. JTG takes a breather and sees this, but Noble doesn’t see it coming. JTG then takes Noble by surprise, kicking him in the midsection and tossing him over the top rope!
Jamie Noble has been eliminated!
JTG goes back to work on Matt Hardy, sitting in the corner as both Cryme Tyme members stomp away at his chest. Hardcore Holly and Shelton Benjamin fight to the corner where Noble had been standing, with Holly having the upper hand. Holly, after many punches, takes Benjamin’s legs and attempts to throw Benjamin over the top, but Shelton thrusts his legs out, kicking Holly in the stomach. Benjamin then balances on the top rope and lunges off, tackling Holly to the mat! Meanwhile, Santino Marella is pushing Carlito against the ropes trying to topple him over. Carlito is doing all he can to stay in the ring. Santino steps back for a second and runs at Carlito, trying to knock him off with a clothesline. Carlito ducks however and pulls down on the top rope, causing Santino to fly over! Santino grabs the top rope on his way though, holding on for dear life before managing to get his feet on the apron. Carlito jumps up and kicks his legs out, drop-kicking Santino in the chest! Santino falls backwards but keeps his hands on the top rope. Carlito growls and tries to baseball slide Santino in the legs, but Santino spreads his legs apart causing Carlito to slide out of the ring! However, he is not eliminated, as he never went over the top rope. Santino clambers back into the ring and back to safety.
CM Punk and Chavo Guerrero are brawling in a vacant corner. CM Punk looks like he is in danger, in a precarious situation on the top rope, balancing as Chavo dug his foot into Punk’s ribs. Punk however shoved Chavo’s foot away and leapt off the top rope, trying to attack Chavo with a double axe handle. Chavo dodges however, sticking his leg out, causing Punk to flip over it into the middle of the ring. Carlito slides back into the ring, looking to eliminate some of the competition. He sees that Hardcore Holly is downed. He pulls him up by his shoulders and whips him towards the ropes. Holly flips over and lands on the apron. Carlito then starts shoving Holly to try and push him down to the floor. Santino Marella comes from behind, and whilst Carlito is unaware, he grabs Carlito’s legs and tosses him down to the floor!
Carlito has been eliminated!
Seeing that Holly is vulnerable, Santino charges, but Holly ducks and barges through the ropes into Santino’s abdomen. Seeing that Santino has a grip of the top rope, Holly yanks on the rope, causing Santino to flip over. He pulls a Shawn Michaels however, and holds on for dear life, putting his arm muscles to the test. Maybe if Carlito wasn’t still there, he would have escaped elimination, but Carlito yanked on Santino’s legs, pulling him down to the floor in an act of revenge.
Santino Marella has been eliminated!
Feeling that they have worked on Hardy enough, both JTG and Shad take a breather. They both take an arm of Hardy and try to whip him over the ropes. Hardy stops himself though, and turns around, sending Cryme Tyme to the floor with a double clothesline! He starts to stomp away at both of them, realizing that he is at a disadvantage, what with there being two of them and one of him. They both get to their feet and knock Matt back down to the mat with a double clothesline of their own. They pull him to his feet and try to double back body drop Matt out of the ring. Matt lands on the apron, struggling with his balance, before dropping down on the apron and rolling back into the ring. He then shoves both JTG and Shad in an attempt to eliminate them both. JTG falls to the floor, but Shad is able to balance on the apron and re-enter the ring to battle Matt Hardy.
JTG has been eliminated!
However, as soon as he enters, he is met with a kick to the abdomen followed by a Twist of Fate! It is not hard for matt to pull Shad to his feet before clotheslining him over the top rope to the outside.
Shad has been eliminated!
Chavo Guerrero, CM Punk, Hardcore Holly, Shelton Benjamin and Matt Hardy are remaining, and the ring is more vacant as half the combatants have been eliminated. CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin are down and out of it. Chavo Guerrero and Hardcore Holly look at each other, breathless. They both simultaneously pull the two men up, Holly pulling up Benjamin and Guerrero pulling up Punk. Then, on perpendicular ring sides, they attempt to sling them over the top rope. Punk gets an offensive in, elbowing Chavo in the face causing Chavo to lose his grip. Punk bounces off the rope and attempts a clothesline, but Chavo ducks and runs against the ropes too. Both men run towards each other, this time with Chavo attempting a clothesline with Punk ducking. They bounce off the opposite ropes and come back at each other. Punk leaps to the floor and Chavo jumps over him, bouncing off the ropes and met with a dropkick to the jaw! CM Punk roars in victory!
Meanwhile, Holly has Benjamin in the corner, hitting him with punch after punch, Benjamin feeling the effects of the match. Shelton backs up, climbing to the top rope to try and escape from Holly. Holly simply grabs Benjamin, putting his head between his legs and walking away from the corner. Hardcore Holly has Shelton Benjamin in position for the Alabama Slam! However, on the way down, Shelton grabs the top rope and flings Holly over it with an awe-inspiring hurracanrana! Holly has no choice but to fall to the floor!
Hardcore Holly has been eliminated!
We are down to the final floor. CM Punk stands in one corner. Chavo Guerrero stands in the opposite corner. Matt Hardy stands in another corner, with Shelton Benjamin in the opposite one. Punk is staring at Chavo. Chavo is staring at Benjamin. Benjamin is staring at Matt, and Matt is staring at Punk. Suddenly, Punk, Matt and Benjamin charge towards Chavo, attacking him with vicious blows to the back of the head and the chest area! Chavo is way in over his head. He tries to battle out of it but the trio are too strong for him. Collectively, Punk, Benjamin and Hardy throw Chavo out of the ring over the top rope. Chavo tries to hang on to the top rope but he misses and collides with the black mats surrounding the ring!
Chavo Guerrero has been eliminated!
There are three lightweights left. Matt Hardy, CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin. They all charged at the same time, locking arms. CM Punk kicks Benjamin in the midsection before attacking him with a drop toe hold to make him fall to the mat. Matt Hardy took a step backwards. CM Punk continues to attack but Shelton lifts him up and tries to T-Bone Suplex CM Punk over the top rope! CM Punk thinks like a cat though and lands on the apron. Shelton turns and attempts to knock CM Punk to the floor. However, slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope before Shelton reaches him. Shelton misses and stumbles slightly, and CM Punk takes his legs from behind and flips him over the top rope to the outside.
Shelton Benjamin has been eliminated!
CM Punk turns to Matt Hardy. We are down to two and the crowd is going absolutely wild, as they are about to witness AHW’s first Lightweight Champion be crowned, and it was either going to be CM Punk or Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy instantly starts an attack and kicks CM Punk in the abdomen. He looks for the Twist of Fate but Punk pushes him away. Punk lifts Hardy onto his shoulders and throws him down, looking for the Go To Sleep, but Hardy counters it into a DDT. Hardy pulls CM Punk to his feet and whips him over the ropes. He tries to push CM Punk off and win the match, but CM Punk grabs Hardy’s long hair. Hardy has no choice but to climb to the outside of the ring along with Punk, both of them in a very precarious situation! They punch each other repeatedly, both of them worn out because of the gruelling match they had been put through. Matt manages to kick Punk in the stomach. He then quickly goes for the Twist of Fate again! What is he thinking!? He pulls off the Twist of Fate, slamming Punk’s head into the ground. The bell rings…
DING DING DING!
…
…
…
Matt Hardy has been eliminated!
CM Punk wins via elimination. He is the new AHW Lightweight Champion after 13:12
Matt Hardy looks very angry, but as a video replay shows, he hit the floor first. CM Punk was knocked out, but the referees revived him, handed him the championship belt, and raised his arms in victory. CM punk celebrated as the fans cheered loudly for him.
JS: Congratulations to CM Punk, who is our new Lightweight Champion!
JL: But I have a feeling that these ten men have some vendettas to settle…
JS: Well, every Monday the AHW will play host to Revenge, and if you tune in to that then you’ll be able to see the fallout from this huge pay-per-view.
JL: Right you are Joey. Once again, congratulations to CM Punk! I’ve received word that Ken Kennedy is backstage with our interviewer, Michael Cole, let’s take a look.
The cameras cut to backstage where indeed Ken Kennedy is standing with Michael Cole. Michaels raises his microphone to his mouth.
Michael Cole: Thank you very much Jerry and Joey at ringside, and you are right. Standing next to me is a man who has been chosen to compete in the Gold Sword Tournament by Paul Heyman, Ken Kennedy. Now Ken, tonight, you face off against Kurt Angle in one of four quarterfinals. Kurt Angle is a big obstacle Ken, and even if you do get past him you will still have to wrestle in two more matches if you are to become the AHW World Champion. What are your thoughts on this match?
Ken snatches the microphone away from Michael Cole with a glare in his eye. He lifts it to his mouth to speak.
Ken Kennedy: To be honest with you Michael, it doesn’t phase me at all. And you know why? Because I am… MISTUHHHH … KENNEDY! … … KENNEDY! Kurt Angle is nothing to me. I can beat him, because I am the best, and you can’t beat the best. Kurt Angle is an awful wrestler, and I would go as far as to say that he is the probably my biggest obstacle in this whole tournament! Charlie Haas? William Regal? MVP? You have to be kidding me! This will be the easiest tournament ever, and by the time I’ve won the World Championship at the end of the night, I won’t have even broken a sweat. I’m going down in the history books Michael, as the first ever AHW World Champion. It has a good ring to it, huh? Ken Kennedy, AHW World Champion. It just fits, it’s right, it makes sense, and tonight, I will win that championship. I don’t care if you’re Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Big Show, or Edge - you are not as good as I am.
With that, Kennedy walks away from Michael, no doubt to prepare for his match with Kurt Angle. Michael shrugs and smiles at the camera.
Michael Cole: That was Mr. Kennedy, ladies and gentlemen, but now we head back to the announce team to start off the first Gold Sword Tournament Match when Charlie Haas goes up against William Regal next!
MATCH TWO: Gold Sword Tournament Quarter Final
CHARLIE HAAS vs WILLIAM REGAL
Howard Finkel: The following match is the first quarter final in the Gold Sword Tournament!
Both Haas and Regal make their entrances. Haas and Regal lock up in the center of the ring after sparring cautiously for a few seconds, but quickly break it up before circling the ring again, silently testing each other. Regal breaks the tension when he quickly goes for a clothesline. Haas has been waiting and expecting, and promptly ducks the clothesline before striking Regal with rights and lefts in his trademark street fighting style. Regal misses a step while being manhandled in this manner but does his best to keep a vertical base. Haas eventually pushes Regal back towards a corner and starts digging his knee into Regal’s stomach, doing so as hard as possible.
Regal grunts with pain but doesn’t allow himself to fall. Instead he finds the strength to block Haas’s next right hand and reverse the current predicament, forcing Haas into the corner and delivering his own brand of right hands before backing away a few inches and charging at Haas, connecting with a Spear that results in Haas falling flat on his face and lying on his stomach. Regal grins when an idea of what to do with this situation forms in his mind. He rolls out of the ring and approaches the ringpost where Haas lies nearby.
Grabbing both of Charlie’s legs, it is clear that Regal intends to pull Charlie into the path of the ringpost and cause him a fair amount of distress in the process. However Charlie resists Regal’s attempts to do this, and eventually manages to display amazing leg strength by kicking Regal off his feet and blocking his advance. Charlie gets to his feet, breathing heavily as Regal struggles to his feet, scowling at Charlie for successfully thwarting his plan. Regal paces around the ring a bit more before the count-out demands he return to continue the match.
After returning to the ring, Regal doesn’t rush back into combat with Charlie, choosing instead to offer his hand up for a test of strength. Charlie complies, but Regal relents before their hands join, and grabs Charlie by the head instead. Charlie grunts with surprise, but manages to push Regal away before he can administer a sleeper hold. Regal bounces off the ropes and attempts a clothesline. Charlie ducks and Regal bounces off the opposite set of ropes before being blindsided by an elbow from Charlie. Regal crashes down to the mat below before Charlie attempts an elbow drop. Regal avoids the move and he is quick to clamber to his feet and drive Charlie into the nearest turnbuckle. With Charlie isolated in this manner, Regal administers harsh chops on Charlie’s chest, turning it an ugly red colour.
It isn’t pleasant to say the least. Charlie groans from the pain and then Regal delivers a throat thrust to throw Charlie down to the bottom turnbuckle, trapped like a fox in its den. Regal then digs his knee into Charlie’s face, choking him until the referee forces him to release. Regal releases himself from the referee’s grasp roughly while Charlie coughs and splutters on the mat. Regal then attempts to cover Charlie but without much conviction that Charlie is down for the count.
ONE…
TWO…KICK OUT!
Charlie kicks out before three, and Regal then locks in a leg lock manoeuvre, pounding Charlie into submission as best he can. It takes Charlie a good ninety seconds to combat the move and grab a hold on the bottom rope. Regal keeps the move locked in for four of his allowed five seconds before letting go. Regal plots out his next move in his head for a few moments before attempting to force Charlie to his feet. Charlie takes him by surprise by taking him down and locking him in a possum pin. Regal just manages to kick out before the count of three but the possum pin causes him to become distracted, and it isn’t long before Charlie is all over him again with the street fighting style punching, pounding into Regal’s skull like it was a mini heavy bag.
It is then that Charlie successfully connects with a butterfly suplex. Regal appears winded, but does manage to kick out before three. The shift in momentum seems to have angered Regal quite a bit, as once he gets back to his feet he clotheslines Charlie down quite violently. Regal snarls at Charlie before forcing him to his feet and throwing him out of the ring. As Charlie crashes down to the floor, Regal appeals to the crowd for a few moments, an appeal that is met by heavy booing. Regal sneers before clambering out of the ring. Charlie reacts instantly, driving Regal into the side of the ring. Regal’s lower back collides with the side of the ring and he feels the pain of it for certain. Charlie’s only concern is getting back in the ring, and he does so, closely followed by Regal. However Regal does not simply re enter the ring, he blows Charlie with a Stun Gun before entering the ring and delivering a chop block to the back of Charlie’s heel, taking him down.
Regal’s subsequent attempt to pin Charlie ends in failure, then he resorts to choking Charlie for a few seconds, crushing Charlie’s spirits, before pacing around the ring a bit more. After forcing Charlie to his feet again, Regal drags him towards a corner, where he props Charlie up to the second turnbuckle before getting up himself, obviously intending to execute a huge Superplex. By the time Regal is ready to hit the Superplex, Charlie has been forced to the top rope. Both of them are flying through the air a second later, and crash down to the mat. And the ring mat may not look like much but when you fall from that height, your body could go into shock. Both men are motionless in the center of the ring, feeling the effects of the massive Superplex.
The referee, after seeing no response come from either man for a few moments, begins his ten count. By the time he reaches six, both of the competitors are indeed stirring. Charlie is reviving through the crowd’s cheers of encouragement. All Regal has to stimulate him is the thought of the World Championship, but it gets him up as well. By eight, both men are on their feet, but rather groggy. It all depends here on who can take the first strike. It almost looks like Regal is going to hit first, but he attempts it before the grogginess has left him and thus ends up throwing a punch in completely the wrong direction.
As Regal comes to terms with what happened, Charlie’s head clears and he strikes Regal with his patented Old School Trample. Regal gets up immediately, only to be hit by another. A rush of adrenaline is clearly running through Charlie’s veins, and the crowd are going nuts. After a few more Old School Tramples, Charlie executes an Irish whip. It is reversed, but then Regal squats as Charlie is coming towards, and gets a kick in the face. As Regal staggers around, Charlie hits him with the Total Haastility, an Olympic Slam!
ONE…
TWO…KICK OUT!
Regal just about manages to kick out before three, but Charlie doesn’t lose any momentum. He forces Regal to his feet again and digs his knee into Regal’s stomach. He then strikes for gold, by attempting to hit his finishing move, the Haas of Pain. Regal blocks the move, but then sees his attempted clothesline being ducked. After another kick to the ribs, Charlie takes a firm hold on Regal, takes a deep breath…and locks in the Haas of Pain! Regal screams in pain, and because he is in the center of the ring, there is no escape.
DING DING DING!
Charlie Haas wins via submission. He advances to the Semi Final of the Gold Sword Tournament in 09:24
Charlie releases the hold and holds his hands up high, as shocked as the rest of the world that he defeated the veteran that is William Regal.
JL: Wow! I didn’t see that coming! Good job Charlie Haas, who advances into the Semi Finals of the Gold Sword Tournament!
JS: What a match! But now, Charlie must recuperate as much as possible so he is in top shape for when the Semi-Final comes.
We cut to backstage. John Cena is sitting in his locker room, taping up his wrists, his Television Championship Match up next against two of the biggest fighters in wrestling, Umaga and Finlay. The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Umaga walks in, standing in his Samoan slump. Cena stands up, smirking.
John Cena: Hey there Umaga, what brings you to my locker room?
Umaga: Cena! ABAJIDAH, HANTWAGIJALANA! RUTCHABALAGAHO, ICHINOPULO!
Cena looks startled at this outburst, the crowd laughing at Umaga’s shouting of Samoan which might as well be gibberish.
John Cena: What’s that? You think you might pull out from our match because I am just too good for you?
Umaga: BAHJIHAMALA KA SHONO PUTELLANAH!!!!!
John Cena: Okay, okay, I totally understand if that’s how you feel. I mean, I am pretty intimidating.
Umaga: FINLAH!
John Cena: Nah, I’m scarier than that crackpot. Well Umaga, I have to get to the ring right now for our match. I might see you out there, who knows? You don’t have much time to think about whether or not you’re pulling out.
Cena leaves the room leaving Umaga in a confused state. We fade back to the ring where Howard Finkel is standing with a microphone in his hand.
MATCH THREE: AHW Television Championship Falls Count Anywhere
FINLAY vs JOHN Cena vs UMAGA
Howard Finkel: The following match is the falls count anywhere match for the AHW Television Championship!
The three men come to the ring. The three men shoot furtive glances at one and the other, making sure none can get a sneak attack in. They advance to the centre of the ring cautiously, in a squatted stance. Finlay and Cena seem to be edging more towards one another, while Umaga seems to be the red herring. Cena suddenly shoots for a clothesline, but Finlay swiftly dodges it and immediately forces Cena into a corner. He attacks manically with rights and lefts before Umaga interrupts. He grabs hold of Finlay and drags him back near the centre of the ring, knocking him down with an elbow smash. Finlay quickly gets back up as Umaga advances on Cena. Finlay halts his progress on the Doctor of Thuganomics, and clubs him in the back.
As a gasp of pain escapes Umaga’s mouth, Finlay drags him into the centre of the ring, then Irish whips him to the opposite corner. With Umaga crashing into the opposite corner, Finlay returns to work on Cena, who has since dislodged himself from the corner. They trade a few blows until Cena rakes the eyes and Finlay is sent backing away reeling. Cena Irish whips Finlay against the ropes and attempts a side slam but Finlay swerves to avoid the contact, ducks the next clothesline, then takes Cena down with a trademark Finlay kick.
With Cena temporarily grounded, Umaga sees his chance and jumps Finlay from behind. Knocking him down with a hard elbow smash, Umaga hits a few elbow drops and splashes to keep Finlay down. He then bounces off the ropes and hits more of the same stuff, irritants that keep Finlay grounded. But we must remember at this point that although Cena and Finlay are out to get each other before Umaga, Umaga still has vendettas with both. After irritating Finlay with minor manoeuvres, Umaga forces him up and throws him out of the ring. With Finlay thrown out of the ring, Umaga starts on Cena. Cena had dragged himself into a corner and was attempting to reap as much luxury time as he could.
He got up quickly when he saw Umaga coming, and they immediately locked up before Umaga shoved Cena into the corner he had been resting at. Umaga pushes Montel further and further until the referee orders him to stop and instigates his five count….ONE…TWO…THREE…FOUR. Umaga let go at that second then clubbed Cena in the head. As Cena collapsed; rather comically I might add, Umaga turned around slowly. He could have possibly seen this coming, because his response was too swift to be generated. He didn’t just turn around, he jumped around, out of the way. Finlay charged, but Umaga had outsmarted him. He didn’t find Umaga, he didn’t find Cena; he found ringpost. He reels, and dislodges himself clutching his shoulder. Umaga is ready, 100% percent ready, and once Finlay turns around, he hits it oh so perfectly the Samoan Spike. Umaga had blasted Finlay with a thumb to the throat, causing Finlay to fall to the mat choking in pain. Umaga attempted to cover.
ONE…
TWO…
BREAKUP BY Cena.
Cena breaks the cover upon his return to the ring and starts pounding on Umaga. He delivers a showboating leg drop to Umaga and gets a one count in the following cover. He then gives Umaga a few cowardly kicks before forcing him up. He Irish whips Umaga, and hits him with a clothesline soon after. Cena grins and continues his assault with the attack on Umaga’s legs, stomping them with extreme viciousness, then dragging him by the leg towards the ring ropes. He places Umaga’s leg on the rope, then pounces on it, causing Umaga an inordinate amount of crushing pain. He does this four times before Umaga’s leg falls on the mat. He then lightly shoves Umaga out of the ring, and taunts in his trademark way. And then he cockily turns around, to a crushing move from Finlay, the Celtic Cross! Cena collapses and Finlay makes the cover.
ONE…
TWO…
KICKOUT by Cena.
Finlay does not delay now he can finally have his own way with John Cena. He forces him up and immediately unloads with the multiple body shots. The shots leave Cena’s chest red raw, or at least, the fans could see it if Cena wasn’t wearing his ridiculous jumpsuit. Finlay then forces Cena into a corner, where he chops, and the fans give a WOO after every chop. Eventually Finlay looks to knock Cena out, and there’s a sure fire way to do that when you’re in the corner. Grabbing hold of Cena by the shoulders and forcing him into a sitdown position on the top turnbuckle, Finlay looks to slam him down on the mat below with a Superplex!
Cena and Finlay come crashing down to the mat. Finlay lies motionless while Cena writhes around in pain. There are no countouts in this match, so all the referee can do is wait. There wasn’t a long wait, as a few seconds later, Umaga slithers into the ring and hooks Finlay’s leg. Could it end like this? Watch how many times the referee slaps the mat…
ONE…
TWO…NO!
Finlay got a shoulder up! Umaga trys not to show any dismay, but that task is rather difficult you know? He forces Finlay up and looks to finish him off for good. With what, might you ask? What else, but the Samoan Drop! After the three move is successfully executed, Finlay is simply ready to be pinned. Umaga does so, and it looks like he’s going to come away with the victory.
ONE…
TWO…
BREAKUP BY Cena.
Cena breaks up the cover by simply placing an arm on the pinning predicament. Cenaand Umaga both rise, but Finlay is not so quick to do the same. Cena attempts to put Umaga away, but the F-U is dodged. Umaga then kicks the back of Cena’s ankle, forcing him down to a kneeling position. Cena responds by shoving the referee and quickly delivering a low blow to Umaga. Both men fall and the referee had seen nothing. Cena rises along with Finlay in close proximity. Perhaps Cena had lost his sense of direction slightly, because for some reason he starts to climb the turnbuckle. Finlay stalks him up the turnbuckle until they are both teetering on it.
Finlay hits Cena, Cena does the same in return. Finlay wobbles a bit, but Cena misses his next punch. Everything happens so fast. Finlay lurches forward, grabs hold of Cena and they both fly off the turnbuckle, much further than either of them intended. With incredible force, they both go directly…
THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!!
They smash headlong into both commentators, whose heads collide with the barricade behind them. The table is reduced to rubble, and both men are as good as out, fuelled by their own desire to exterminate the other. Umaga is standing in the centre of the ring, laughing it up at Cena and Finlay who are lying in a living death amidst the wreckage and the fallen commentators. He quickly swoops out of the ring and lays on top of both Cena and Finlay, covering them both. The referee follows Umaga to make the count.
ONE…
TWO…
THREE!
DING DING DING!
Umaga wins via pinfall. He is the new AHW Television Champion in 17:52.
Joey Stylez and Jerry Lawler are helped to their feet by staff as Umaga is handed the Television Championship. He celebrates in the ring as steel chairs are set up for the two commentators to sit on. Luckily, their headsets are still connected. They sit in the same position they had been sitting in before. A normal table was set up in front of them.
JL: What… a… match! Sure, we knocked out heads a little, but wow! Umaga is the first ever Television Champion!
JS: This is going to hurt in the morning…
PART TWO COMING SOON!
