In my opinion, this match can only benefit the huge star that is John Cena. There's been a lot of talks on dirtsheets and many forums about the possibility of that match happening, but to me it seems as if only one man gets the benefit of this match. It will be exactly like the Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series 2009, when Cena was facing Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

So, what do you think?

Depends on what you see as benefiting. Cena will 9 times of out 10 walk away with the title. But this match can benefit Punk just as much. If it was a triple threat involving him, Cena and Rock it would put Punk up there. He gets to wrestle the greatest of the last era and the greatest of the current on the biggest stage. That in itself is a career benefit.

Cena will walk out of Maina as WWE Champion either way, so it doesn't matter..

The only thing I care about is NOT seeing another "once in a lifetime" match.

Well, not sure what you consider benefitting, but Punk will be as Stop said if he does compete. Also agree with Baraa, Punk there would get us away from Cena/Rock and that's good.

It depends on what are the oponents, for example: The Rock vs John Cena vs CM Punk, could be better for Punk than for any other superstar

Assuming you're booking Cena to win, look at how the build would change. If it's Rock/Cena 2, the storyline will be "Cena couldn't beat the Rock, so now he's getting another chance"... which, honestly, after all the main events and super booking for no reason, does he really feel like an underdog? Yeah, Cena will beat Rock, but Cena's already established as so far ahead of the rest of the roster that him getting the rub from beating the Rock won't do much.

But if it's a triple threat, the build would be "Cena's never been able to win the WWE Championship from CM Punk, nor has he been able to beat the Rock, now he has to do them both in one night!?" Then, you may at least have a interesting underdog story and a reason for the fans to get behind Cena... but in the end, what would winning the belt for the 13th time do for him then, either?

It would benefit Punk. It wouldn't benefit Cena at all. Kayfabe wise, he can now say he's beat both Rock and Punk (that's the reason I think it'll be a triple threat) but no one in real life is gonna perceive him as a bigger star because of it, or as lesser of a star if he doesn't. Punk, on the other hand, has proven he can hang with both on the mic and sharing the headline match at Wrestlemania with them would show how far he's come as a main event star as well. He would not be the 'third wheel', as some have suggested. The crowd was even split almost 50/50 at the Rumble with him and THE ROCK of all people.

Nothing, imo Cena has reached a level where him winning any match won't do a thing for him..

IT CAN BENEFIT CM PUNK AS HE WOULD BE IN THE MAIN EVENT BUT NOT CENA! Cena has been in a 3 way WM match 2 time before so it would nothing new for him. But for CM punk it would be. Even The Rock he was in the only 4 Way WM Main Event back in WM16. So it really only benefit CM Punk. And let just hope if it did have been CM Punk would win!
