So apparently (according to the news) after the draft, ecw will be doing their shows with Raw instead of Smackdown. So they'll go on tour with them, tape the same night, etc... But for months, we've seen the "business agreement" between SD and ECW, so ecw and smackdown guys could go on either show. IMO, it helped alot, because you got to have Morrison/Miz on SD wit the tag belts, and other gusy like Kane, chavo, etc going back and forth...
But now, at the draft, wwe is moving ecw in with Raw, so what do you think of that?

-When that happens do you think raw and ECW should make a similar agreement, so wwe can have guys go on either show?
-And just sort of a random question instead of makign a new thread about it... How long do you think ecw will be around as a brand for?

Well I think they should have the brand exchange thing with RAW when they move together, I had know idea they are even moving to the RAW shedule :(

and I would kill ECW right now if I had the chance but I think Vince will keep it around until Survivor series where they have WWE Vs ECW and loser is cancelled :p

I don't mind it, because I know that they are not going to have a HHH or a Randy Orton on there. If any Raw mian eventers wrestled there they would squash the ECW guys, but I don't see that happening since no SD main event guys were ever on ECW (how long has it been since Edge was on ECW?) It would give a good chance for people like Ted DiBiase Jr to wrestle on another show, or Kofi Kingston to make the odd midcard appearance on Raw.

I hope ECW keeps going. Whether you like it or not, ECW does do a reasonable job. Kofi Kingston has had some great momentum going because he was able to debut on a weaker brand and get over with the fans. CM Punk definitely wouldn't be anywhere near as over if he didn't debut on ECW. So I say keep it going as long as possible.

ECW's going nowhere. In some respects it'll help fill the gap caused by the loss of Heat.

In terms of ECW/Raw exchange, I got no problem with it, but if they choose to do this regularly, I REALLY hope they heavily stack SD in the draft otherwise the SD to Raw/ECW split will effectively be something like 25% to 75%.... It's already like a heavily picked chicken bone as it is!

I tihnk they SD! and ECW may lose their agreement now that T.Long is GM. Him and Vicki should have an arguement or something then the swap should be stopped. Then Morrison and Miz can lose the titles and they can be retired making just one tag title to be interpromotional.

I don't think ECW's time to end is here. It still has plenty of fight left in it!

In a way, I want ECW and RAW to have a shre thing going because hopefully Elijah Burke can get some decent matches. But then again, I am thinking that the rising stars on ECW will be buried by the major stars on RAW!

Flash Forward 2 months

Triple H: "Raaanndyy, you want a shot I my title you gotta earn it. You have to rpove to me and everyone else that you are fully heeled from your injury. Tonight you will be facing the entire ECW roster!"

JR: "By God how will Orton survive!"

**Randy Orton Squashes the entire ECW Roster**

Next Week....

Orton: "Triple H, I learned a thing or two from you in Evolution. Its my Destiny. One Man Dynasty. Random list of wrestlers I've beaten. I spoke with Vince about the main event tonight, and he liked my idea. Tonight you will be facing the entire ECW roster in a handicap match!"

JR: "That damn Randy Orton, how will Triple H be able to survive!"

ECW has been dead for ages.
The only way that it could be revived is releasing some of their unoriginal talent and bringing in originals and get a ECW (back when it was good) creative writer on the squad.

Raw will be hosting leaches.

^^^

RVD retired
Sabu is a druggie
Sandman is a drunk
Dreamer, Nunzio are there but they aren't over.
Mysterio and Jericho are above ECW
Eddie, Benoit, Mike Awesome, and Bigelo are dead
Tazz is retired from the ring

Who do you want them to bring back exactly?

Jazz, Blue Meanie, Dawn Marie, Justin Credible, Raven, Spike Dudley, Balls Mahoney, Vito, Trinity....Paul Heyman to replace Mike Adamle as a commentator.
That would turn ECW into half of it's former glory, rehiring those people, (with all due releases or swaps to other brands, to balance out with the time slot) would be ideal.

And I will swear by my life that RVD is not retired. He's just on indefinete hiatus.

Obviously having those guys back would make it more hardcore. And alot of people (including me) liked the old ECW... But now, we have to face it, its now coming back, and wwe is more interested in it as a development ground. Thats fien with me, because all the people you listed are old now, and wont be around too many more years, and then WWE will be without all the young guys they have now on ECW (that they cant fit on Raw and SD)
And those guys dont draw AT ALL anymore, at least not to the WWE fans...

But back to this topic that I created, about do you think raw and ECW should do what SD and ECW are doing now...

Looks like crap to me. Blatant barrel scraping.

Seriously you'd rather see that lot over the likes of Punk, Morrison, Kofi, Shelton, Burke and... and... and...???? ...Just for the sake of a few hardcore matches?

Heyman's ECW died... It ain't coming back. Time to move on.....

ECW has lost alot of interest, alot. and the final nail in the coffin was when heyman left ECW in december 2006. but to have a change like RAW superstars competing on ECW would be good. they already have a second show, heat that barely anyone watches but if WWE pull this off it could be good for not just ECW but also wwe as a whole. and what i am talking about is use ECW like a third hour of Raw, and try to get RAW superstars and storylines over on ecw aswell.

Well if ECW and Raw were going to have a talent exchange I hope SD get some good draft picks because now with ECW gone they lack what I would call their "backup" so now is a better time than any to bring some ME quality to SD.

As for Raw stars going to ECW shows then I wonder who would get a Chavo push from big show midcard to ECW ME. No-one really "needs" it but I could see Orton and Jeff doing quite a bit of stuff over in the land of "Extreme".
