The following includes spoilers for this Friday's AEW Rampage and Monday's edition of Dark: Elevation.

The semifinals for the AEW World title eliminator tournament are nearly set following Wednesday's Rampage taping after the live Dynamite in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jungle Boy/Christian Cage/Luchasaurus segment

Cage was out with Luchasaurus and demanded Jungle Boy come out so they could hear what he had to say. Jungle Boy said he lost everything thanks to them and eventually challenged Luchasaurus to a steel cage match at Full Gear which was accepted.

Cage started insulting Jungle Boy's mom and then dad which led to Jungle Boy grabbing him by the throat. Luchasaurus attacked (Jungle Boy's shoe went flying) and eventually chokeslammed Jungle Boy through a chair Cage had set up. This was a good segment.

Brian Cage (w/ Prince Nana) defeated Dante Martin to advance in the AEW World title eliminator tournament

Since returning to the AEW fold in September, Cage is 2-2 in singles matches with losses to TNT Champion Wardlow and ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe, respectively. If you have been missing Martin, this is his first Rampage match since a late-September battle royal appearance as he has been plying his trade on Dark and Dark: Elevation frequently.

This was a solid match where you knew the power vs. speed dynamic was going to play out. Martin hit a tope where Cage caught him and held him in a suplex position before dumping him in an impressive spot.

Martin hit an impressive big jump over the ropes to the outside and frog splash on the inside, but it wasn't enough as Cage hit Weapon X to get the pin and advance. But against who?

- Lee Moriarty and Stokely Hathaway were backstage and Moriarty said he wants any champion. FTW Champion Hook then walked in, stared, and left. That would appear to be a pre-show match for Full Gear, but that wasn't announced.

- Claudio Castagnoli was talking with Renee Paquette backstage and Jake Hager entered the frame. He tried to entice Castagnoli into going back to his sports entertainer roots before leaving. He also still really likes his hat.

Bandido defeated Rush (w/ Jose The Assistant) to advance in the AEW World title eliminator tournament

This was Bandido's first match since his debut against ROH Champion Chris Jericho last month and the first since he signed his AEW contract. Rush (3-2 in singles action) was looking for his first win since a late-September Rampage victory over John Silver.

This was slow for a while as Rush methodically worked down Bandido, attacking him before the match and using a cable to choke him on the outside of the ring. Bandido hit a few big dives and jumps to the outside before Rush regained control again.

During the match, the crowd got on Rush, chanting "dos" when he got near falls to mock him. Both Bandido and Rush really worked the crowd well, getting them to chant to ten in Spanish when Bandido was working Rush over.

Bandido didn't do his impressive suplex spot, but did an equally impressive press slam that the crowd liked.

Jose The Assistant used a ref distraction to attack Bandido which brought out John Silver. He laid out Jose and Bandido used the distraction to get a roll-up win to advance.

Bandido will now face Ethan Page next Wednesday in one semifinal.

Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer never happened

Before Rampage kicked off, Tony Khan said something had happened which he was going to show us. That was Archer taking out Starks backstage. They never formally announced the match wasn't happening or what that means for the tournament.

- Death Triangle were backstage and PAC urged the Lucha Brothers to start taking every opportunity and keep the Trios titles by any means necessary, tapping a hammer against his title belt to punctuate the point.

Nyla Rose (w/ Marina Shafir & Vickie Guerrero) defeated Kayla Sparks

Rose won quickly as this was to set up a brawl between herself, TBS Champion Jade Cargill, Shafir and the Baddies, Cargill took out Rose with her pump kick and security eventually pulled them apart. The crowd were pretty dead for this.

AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy (w/ Best Friends & Danhausen) defeated Lee Johnson (w/ The Factory) to retain

You can probably imagine this match in your head. There was tons of interference and shenanigans on the outside of the ring. Nick Comoroto dropped Cassidy in the front row at one point, followed by QT Marshall piledriving Danhausen on the ring steps.

After more interference and everyone getting involved, Cassidy survived some Johnson superkicks and hit the Beach Break off a counter to get the win.

Afterward, Cole Karter was taken out by an Orange Punch and as Marshall backed away looking at the scene, Karter was hugged by Cassidy and the Best Friends before getting a triple-team chokeslam power bomb.

The show wrapped around 11:20 PM Eastern.
