So 10 match main card with the tournament finals removed it seems. Probs 3 pre-show, maybe only 2 tho

not too bad this time around tbh. 10 matches I think is fine personally but I get thats a lot for some. 8 + 2 prob the sweet spot but the roster is huge

They can go all night for a Saturday show for all I care tbh lol I'm used to staying up late watching UFC then anyway prelims and all. It's just the Sunday ones where I have work the next day that I want more concise

Yeah even with the holidays Sunday is rest day and them ending at 1 am was insane. As said above if all the matches are good, wtv do 10 matches if need be on the main. I can't even really complain about filler here either as every match has a story and a build ranging from a month-ish to multiple cycles. Def not seeing the lamenting online compared to last ppv lol

I guess the only reasonable complaint is the roh title match could be at ROH ppv instead but my counter to that is you get 4 very awesome guys on ppv so just enjoy it

The only thing I guess I care about is live crowd burnout since that actually affects the show but I've never noticed that for an AEW PPV that I remember? Def can be an issue tho if its that long and especially on the east coast where it's later compared to here or the west coast

Jungle boy vs Lucha probably my least hype match. Only one I'd cut, and it would also be a fucking amazing Dynamite main event

it would be better vs Christian but the cage makes it pretty hype for me. Result probably a bit obvious though

During a press conference to promote the 2022 AEW Full Gear PPV, AEW President Tony Khan discussed how FTR has been used in AEW.

“I got asked earlier in the call about FTR, well FTR have wrestled on pay-per-view a few times this year as the Ring Of Honor tag team champions and at Forbidden Door, they actually won the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships and became Triple Crown champions where they hold three world titles in the world of pro wrestling in which I have a pretty big influence frankly. I’ve had a lot of opportunities to showcase [FTR] and now being able to have another platform to showcase one of one of the best teams in the world to an audience that clearly really appreciates them. To the point I made earlier in the call, Ring Of Honor allowed me to feature a damn pay-per-view main event that was one of the best main events of the entire year in FTR vs. Briscoes 2 out of 3 falls, in a match that I literally could not do in AEW, and believe me I’ve tried.”

WarnerMedia has reportedly been against the idea of the Briscoes being on TBS or TNT due to homophobic comments made by Jay Briscoe in the past.

Should've been considered a bigger red flag for the future or Warner Media than just only I was trying to show everyone.
