AEW has filed a trademark for what appears to be a new show name.
The company submitted an application to the USPTO for "Blood Moon Rising" on Tuesday, May 17. Tony Khan teased a similar term as a possible pay-per-view name earlier this week on social media.
A blood moon (when the moon is in a total lunar eclipse) occurred recently and Khan posted a photo of it to Instagram on Monday. He included the caption, "@allelitewrestling presents Blood Moon Monday, live on pay-per-view. (No, not a real pay-per-view show, just a caption.)"
The company then filed for the "Blood Moon Rising" trademark the following day.
The purposes of the trademark are listed as:
"Educational and entertainment services, namely, a continuing program about wrestling accessible by radio, television, satellite, audio, video and computer networks; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing series featuring wrestling provided through a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of wrestling; Entertainment services, namely, providing ongoing webisodes featuring wrestling via a global computer network; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network."
