Nice opening match and was cool seeing the bucks put over Ospreay and Swerve. Great opener.

Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite episode averaged 613,000 viewers on TBS, down 16.7 percent from last week’s Grand Slam Mexico special. This is the second-lowest audience total for the show since May 21.

Dynamite drew a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s down 28.6 percent from last week and matches the lowest number the show has done in that category since April 23.

There was competition last night from the NBA Draft airing on ABC and ESPN opposite Dynamite. Full ratings information for the draft are not available at this time, but it was expected to be the top program on all of television in the 18-49 demo last night.

As compared to the same week in 2024, which also went against NBA Draft coverage, Dynamite’s overall viewership was down 9.9 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 31.8 percent. This year’s numbers do not include people watching on Max, which is the likely explanation for the TBS audience skewing so much older in 2025.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 2.5 percent in overall viewers and 11.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

Okay so.... Ospreay & Swerve challenging the Bucks at All In and if the Bucks lose they lose their EVP status? Seems like I was one guy off with me thinking we'd see the Bucks v Swerve & Hanger... but then again... isn't it a bit weird? Might be just me, but I have that distinct feeling something is kinda off with this whole story. Like something was changed around because of... well, who knows what. :hmm:

Especially if they actually go for what I was talking about not that long ago... Ospreay challenging (and beating) Hanger for the title in London.

Oh yea... on top of that. The stipulation about the EVP status is also a thing that makes me think this might have been the original plan for the end of the Elite heel run, but was postponed because of them leaving. ...because now it makes so much less sense to pull those "powers" from them. Since their return they didn't really do anything too outrageous in the "authority figures abusing their powers" department (or am I completely blanking on something?), so it's another point that doesn't quite fit 100%... especially if Kenny's not involved.

Might be saved by the Bucks winning though (due to Perry returning and interfering, maybe?) and the EVP status stip gonna be revisited at a later date once more... :hmm:

And then there is the Stat story. I'm intrigued by Stat as part of the Death Riders and it does feel like they're now actively working towards what comes after Mox loses the Title in a bit more than 2 weeks, which I'm looking forward to... but then again I'm over the Stat/Willow story. That ship had sailed months ago and both need new and fresh, big, long feuds with other opponents. So hopefully they're not continuing to tread water in that pool.

Finally... I'm hyped for All In, but I'm not a fan of them going the WWE route with having two Casino Gauntlet Matches on the same show. I'd rather have one of them, so the importance of the match is Automatically higher in general... or heck, have one Casino Gauntlet Match and make it an intergender one. The winner gets the title shot for their respective divison's top title.
