The following are spoilers for the Saturday, December 14 AEW Collision Winter is Coming show.

The event was taped Thursday night, December 12 in St. Louis, Missouri at the Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University.

Spoilers and commentary are courtesy of Jim Valley.

**********
  • International Women’s Cup qualifier: Willow Nightingale defeated Jamie Hayter
Nightingale pinned Hayter with a doctor bomb to advance to the International Women’s Cup at Wrestle Dynasty at The Tokyo Dome. They shook hands afterwards. Not perfect, but a good match. Willow left Jamie standing in the ring, and the lights went out. Julia Hart DDT’ed Jamie Hayter and left her laying.
  • Continental Classic Blue League: Kazuchika Okada defeated The Beast Mortos
Okada beat Mortos with two Rainmakers. A very good match. Okada and Mortos have good chemistry. The crowd thought Mortos could win. A lot of personality in this match and a few funny comedy spots.
  • Toni Storm defeated Shazza McKenzie
Storm pinned McKenzie with Storm Zero. They shook hands at first. After the match, Storm grabbed the mic and said, “I never thought I’d get to say this, but Toni Storm is officially All Elite!,” obviously hinting at her mental struggle.
  • Action Andretti and Lio Rush defeated Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin w/Leila Grey)
Andretti hit a 450 splash on Darius for the pin. A fast-paced, high-flying, action-packed match that went longer than I expected. The finish came when Lio Rush dived outside into Dante who knocked down Grey standing behind him. Lio and Andretti took advantage of the situation and got the pin and a future World Tag Team title match. Top Flight lost but they looked great and weren’t buried.
  • Kris Statlander defeated Tootie Lynn
Lynn is a local favorite who the crowd knew and loved.
  • Orange Cassidy, The Outrunners, Komander & Daniel Garcia defeated MxM Collection, Ari Daivari, Josh Woods & Tony Nese (w/Mark Sterling)
Cassidy pinned Woods with the Orange Punch. The crowd was loud for this match. “THIS IS AWESOME!” chants. A lot of comedy, a lot of action and an amazing ring-long rope walk into a springboard drive outside onto the heels by Komander.

  • Continental Classic Blue League: Mark Briscoe defeated Kyle Fletcher
Briscoe beat Fletcher with the Jay Driller with less than a minute left. It looked like it would be a time limit draw. Standing ovation from the crowd. Lots of near falls. An excellent match between two great wrestlers. This is a must watch.

Overall, a very entertaining episode of Collision.
