ADR May Leave WWE This Fall

"According to Daily Wrestling News, Del Rio is evidently not happy with his place in the WWE, and he is considering leaving when his contract expires in October.

This news comes a few weeks after the WWE Draft, when it was reported that Del Rio was dissatisfied with being assigned to SmackDown. Part of that is likely due to the fact that he and his real life girlfriend Paige were assigned to different shows. After the draft, Paige deleted all photos of Alberto Del Rio from her Instagram page and made several cryptic social media posts, although since then she has restored the Del Rio pictures.

According to Inquisitr, Triple H is reportedly not a big fan of Del Rio, and he has continuously argued against giving him a push over the past few months. In particular, Vince McMahon had considered pushing Del Rio going into the draft, but Triple H apparently advised against that.

Putting aside all this drama and behind-the-scenes rumors, it seems that Del Rio doesn’t plan to hang around the WWE much longer regardless. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, he said he only has a few more years left in him.

Del Rio said, “I want to become champion one more time and there is one more title I would need to win in WWE to say, ‘I have won all the titles you have to win in this company’ which is the Intercontinental title. Once it’s done, I think I am ready to say goodbye to the sport. I think I have 3-5 more years in wrestling and I am hoping I spend all those years in WWE.”"

Alberto del Rio had a great gig going in Mexico and on the indies. It made very little sense for him to return, let alone be booked as a heel. He was supposed to be the next Mysterio, by that I mean, the next Latino star. They failed horribly to capitalize on the steam he got for returning.

He doesn't deserve this type of handling. He needs to back to AAA, and hopefully, help them survive.

I don't like deal rios gimmick in WWE. He literally says the same thing over and over again... And I don't like his charisma. His in ring skill is just fine and everything else about him is okay, but I think the guy needs a fresh start in some way.

Yeah he has been stale since he came back. It is like they didn't care he came back they just didn't want him going somewhere else. He is a good wrestler, it is a shame he has been wasted again.

Except Mexico did not pay him. The main reason he went back to WWE was because Mexico stopped paying and indie promoters stopped accepting his very very very big booking fee after a while

I feel bad for the dude. He left WWE to be appreciated and he was sidelined because no one wanted to pay him. Now he comes back and is treated the same way. He had a good run once before. I am sure if WWE creative really wanted to, they can work with him but their focus is more on other wrestlers right now.

It's not like people on the independents didn't want him. AAA in Mexico did build around him for a long time. But AAA is the essential madhouse of pro wrestling backstage. There's a lot of turbulence behind the scenes and people not getting paid either what they were promised or at all is not uncommon. And on the independents/in Ring of Honor he didn't really deliver to the level that justified paying him his very high asking price.

This is the reason a lot of guys who come out of the WWE system end up signing with TNA. TNA, for all its faults, see money in WWE guys and are willing to pay them. So guys like say EC3 sign a lucrative (not WWE lucrative, but lucrative) deal with TNA before the steam of them coming onto the independents run out. Because guys who are almost pure WWE aren't used to the hustle and grind that guys with an independent background are. Setting up bookings, negotiating deals, handling your own merchandise and such. So going with say TNA is the easier option. And ADR comes from lucha libre royalty. He has not really had to worry about such things either before the WWE. But the Mexican scene is so divided now and in chaos if you don't get into CMLL that it at times is not worth it.

Well I can't blame anyone for leaving that mess if they aren't even guaranteed pay. And TNA seems to just throw money at any decent wrestler the WWE drops (or the ones who leave) just so they can get more viewers. I have never watched TNA but isn't it like just a well produced indie show anymore?

I put Del Rio in the same category as Cena and Orton: when he's motivated and actually puts effort into his work, he's good, potentially great. When he doesn't, he's just plain boring. I know he doesn't have much to work with as a character, but if he went out and attempted to put on an amazing match every chance he got, I'm sure Trips would change his mind.

Del Rio needs to suck it up and learn his place in line. Not everyone can be the main event guy. And right now WWE is giving newer guys the oppurtunity like Ambrose, Styles, and Bray. If Del Rio works on he will be one of the top heels on Smackdown and I'm sure they'll give him an IC title run or maybe even WWE if hes that hood
