Adobe/YouTube Trouble

I recently downloaded the newest Adobe Flash Player 10 and now I can't see videos from Youtube on forums. When I go to the site I see videos clearly but when I search google for help it just tells me to download the most recent Flash Player. The same thing that got me into this funk.

I have Windows XP and Internet Explorer for a browser (Firefox FTW I know but someone explain to my mom what Firefox is then come back to me) if you can help it'd be much appreciated.

i got the same message on a different video hosting site. tried to get the newest player, scanned the damn file cuz it looked.....suspicious but avg found nothing so i went along and got a virus that kills the internet and apparently the hp quick launch buttons :/
