Adam Cole will not be having surgery to repair a torn labrum.
Cole has been out of action since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door with a concussion but had also been working through a shoulder injury. According to a report from Fightful, he has been dealing with the torn labrum since his title program with Hangman Page back in March and April.
Our own Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cole is doing therapy for the injury. His timeframe for return is more based on the concussion he suffered at Forbidden Door, however.
"Cole is opting to not have surgery on his torn labrum. He’s doing therapy for it. The time frame for his return is based more on the recovery from the concussion. We are told he is faring better in that regard," Meltzer wrote.
Following Double or Nothing in May, AEW announced that Cole was injured and removed him from a 10-man tag match scheduled for that week's Dynamite. He wouldn't wrestle again until Forbidden Door.
