I was bored and on YT as I was playing Minecraft on the forum's server (check it out *wink wink*) and I saw this video on the WrestletalkTV channel where Oli offers his solution to the three-hour Raw format without removing it. This is the video:

To summarize, he proposes giving the fans an intermission around the end of the two-hour mark and during that time, show a high energy dark match during that time for the television audience. That is so the fans can be energized when they come back and hopefully help keep the viewer at home interested with a hot crowd. For years we have complained about the three-hour format, but it is not going away anytime soon. So do you think this can be a good solution? Or do you have another idea?

Eh, I'd much rather have WWE revert RAW back to 2 hours again. But, sadly, it ain't happening.

EDIT: I have to agree, though. 3 hours of RAW is too damn much, man. An intermission would be nice, actually.

An intermission for the live crowd is a genius idea but instead of a pre-tapped match I'd rather see like RAW talk or something like that. Cutting the third hour entirely would be nice too but whatever...

Yeah, to be fair, a lot of sports have intermissions. Baseball has the 7th inning stretch, NFL, NBA, all have half-time, Hockey has intermissions between three periods, so some sort of intermission can do wonders. Either Raw Talk, the dark match footage, or both could work. Gives it a sporty element.

And that means the crowd spends more money on concessions! :psycho:

Wrestling in Japan has intermissions as well for big shows. It's a smart thing to do, because 4/5 hours of wrestling can really tire you out. However, the issue isn't just there for the audience paying their tickets, the issue is also there for the viewers watching at home. It gets tiresome after 3 hours of WEEKLY television which mostly consists of talking segments. Sure, a fast-paced good wrestling match would be nice to watch weekly but that won't really make the situation that different. It won't solve the issue for the TV viewing audience, only for the crowd in attendance.

3 hrs is way too long for a standard RAW show.. and it's felt like that pretty much since they converted to the 3 hr format.. I too would like the 2 hour format back.. maybe have like a 3 hr format for the show just before the PPV to get all the builds in properly but that's pretty much the most I would go.

I've wondered about making better use of the commentary table with Lawler and Booker and whoever the hell else is on it now idk.
One long intermission isn't a bad idea whatsoever! But maybe having 3 small breaks where they discuss everything that went on in a Sportscenter-type format sounds like it could help the flow of the show a good bit.
Maybe I'm just looking for any excuse to force Raw to actually have things worth discussing on the show, have actual stakes for them to talk about instead of "BIG TIME MAIN EVENT IT GONNA BE GOOT" or whatever book says
But given how the fans are so used to seeing segments like that and queefing at them idk how well it would work

Perhaps an intermission news break with updates
about injured wrestlers and their predicted return dates...
Perhaps a round up feature on any WWE Stars appearing
in magazines, television shows, Films or on radio.
Perhaps some viewer polls to get some feedback
from the audience...which no doubt they won't
listen to...

Just no Booker T...allow Renee Young to handle it.

I don't know...may-be they could just write a more
entertaining and quality show? Perhaps try some
character development for a few of their Superstars?

May-be Neville could get some more match/screen time?

May-be I'm just dreaming?

Two hour show would be the best.

But I actually got thinking about this about an hour ago.
Since most kids don't stay up until 11pm or later on a school night, probably not even 10 but idk, make the last hour for the adults.

Although, 11pm here is only 8pm out west lol... so wait does it start at 5pm on the west every week? How does that work?
