Big season this year with two massive signings, plus a few other big ones. The massive signings are of course Victory signing Kewell and Sydney signing Emerton. I also think that Adelaide United's signing of Dario Vidosic, a current Socceroo was a pretty big deal as well.

Three rounds into the season and Brisbane have continued where they left of with three wins in a row. Perth are the only other undefeated team thanks to their excellent defence and from their new striker Shane Smeltx who already has three goals.

Should be a good season and hopefully with these big names it can boost the crowds which have been pretty poor the past few season. Adelaide normally have one of the best crowd averages even though we have the smallest stadium.

Anyone else following the A-League this season?

I am following it.

GO SYDNEY FC btw.

Melbourne Heart & Victory remain 2 losses, 1 draw.

Kewell is such a waste, I went the first game where they played Sydney.

Mind you, I live in Geelong but I hate both Melbourne sides.

I've watched every game of the season so far, which is more than what I've watched for the past 3 seasons. I think I've acually watched more games this season than since the A-League started. So far, Harry Kewell and Brett Emerton haven't had much of an impact, whereas Dario Vidosic has for Adelaide United, scoring as recently as this past weekend.

The issue with Emerton is he has been played on the left when he's actually a Right-Mid or even Right-Back, so he's a little out of position. With Kewell, Victory were trying to figure out their best attacking formation to better suit their team, and the one they used against Heart was perfect for Kewell. Unfortunately he still didn't make an imapct.

I guess they both just need time to adjust, which is understandable. It doesn't matter how good you are in Europe, we play a different style in Australia.

I used to half-heartedly support Sydney FC since the start of the A-League, but I decided to ditch that 3 seasons ago as I never watched the league. If you don't watch the sport, having a team you "follow" is stupid imo. I've found myself really enjoying the football Brisbane Roar have been playing, but I'm not jumping on that bandwagon as that'd be silly.

I was surprised when Victory tried to use Kewell as their sole striker. That isn't his best role and surely they should have realised that he is better in the midfield or on the wing. Put Archie Thompson up front and half Kewell play one line behind him or as the second striker. Like you said it will take some time for him and Emerton to get used to the style of play here.

Adelaide have been poor to start the season and that surprised me a little as I thought that we had a really good squad. Hopefully as the season goes on we will improve and move up the table.

Brisbane Roar continue to move their streak to 32 with a whopping 7-1 win over Adelaide Reds.

Unbelievable!

Berisha scored 4 of those goals too, I know his younger cousin as he lives in Geelong.

Perth won 1-0 over Wellington.

I couldn't believe it when I saw that result. Brisbane have to be the best team in the history of the A-League, no-one can get close to them. Definitely didn't expect a 7-1 but the defense was really bad.

I wish I was able to watch the entire game. I watched the majority of the 1st half and only a bit of the 2nd as I wanted to watch the AFL International Rules series, but what I watched in the 1st half was crazy. Adelaide went up 1-0 after 5 mins, but 20 mins later they were down 3-1, followed by a further 2 goals in the final 20 mins of the half. Berisha is looking like a great addition to the Roar after scoring 4 goals, with Henrique scoring 2 penalties and Nakajima-Faran scoring his first goal. Unreal by Brisbane, and they're just 4 matches away from making history in Australian sport and at the moment have a For and Against of 13-1.

Btw, Perth didn't play Wellington last night, that was last week. Perth played Central Coast away this afternoon and lost their first match of the season 2-1. At the moment Sydney FC are playing Melbourne Heart in Melbourne and it's 0-0 after 50 mins.

I only caught the highlights and they weren't fun to watch. Not a good start to the season at all by Adelaide with one win and three loses but for the moment we are clinging onto sixth spot.

Adelaide are all the way down in 9th spot after only managing a draw against bottom team Melbourne Heart. Melbourne Victory were the first team to take points away from Brisbane after drawing 2-2 with them. Brisbane are still 4 points ahead of second after only five games.

Brisbane still undefeated however, surprised Victory have lifted their game.

Can't believe Sydney won 3-2 after being down 2-0 with like 15 minutes to go or something.

What number are the up to now? 33 undefeated games? It is an incredible record and one of the best in Australian sport.

It was an amazing comeback by Sydney and it was great to watch the final 15 minutes.

Well, there goes the longest record in Australian history, the Brisbane Roar have finally been beaten. I didn't watch the game to be honest but I heard Sydney were awesome, especially Nicke Carle. To be honest, Sydney have been a disspointing team for me this year so far but hopefully this win puts them in stead and they start inproving and get a few good results, maybe not too much though.

I love a Brisbane Roar loss and it lets my team, the Central Coast Mariners inch closer towards them and hopefully win the Minor Premiership this year if not the major one, I don't think I can watch another CCM final after the one last year. That was heart breaking to say the least 2-0 with 5 minutes to go and lose in penatly shoot out.
