I didn't know where to post this, so I chose this. And excuse me for my bad english, as english is not my native language.

So. I had a few questions related about the WWE. As I have been starting to watch WWE in February 2013.

1. Is every match scripted ?
2. Does WWE happen only on Monday & Friday ? (With the exception of like Summerslam and Battleground & etc.)
3. What does PPV and NXT mean ? I know one is like, pay-per-view, and other one, I'm not sure.

Well, those were my questions for you guys :D Hope I didn't cause much trouble, been enjoying WWE since I've started watching it ! ;)

1. No, the matches are pre-determined but you will often see wrestlers "calling" the matches throughout.
2. They have a show called NXT that is on sometime during the week. I don't get that channel and have to download it VIA torrent if I want to watch. I'm not sure if saturday morning slam still airs, but that used to be on.
3. PPV= PAY Per View - that means you pay to view the event. NXT = Next generation of young superstars

1. Every match is scripted yes. Wrestling is like a form of theater mixed with a stunt show. The wrestlers have an idea of how the match is going to end, and then they improvise in the ring except for big "spots" (like going through a table etc). The punches and kicks do hurt though. And wrestling requires years of training.

2. WWE has events about five days a week. RAW airs on Mondays, then on Tuesdays they tape Smackdown (which airs on Friday) and Main event (that airs on Wednesdays) as well as Superstars that airs on Fridays on the web. The rest of the week they have live events, which aren't for TV. With a couple of days a week for the wrestlers and crew to rest.

3. PPV means Pay Per View, which is a big event broadcast on pay per view (to view if you have to buy it). NXT is WWE's developmental territory. NXT is for guys who are under WWE contract but who aren't ready for the big leagues, it gives them a place to work and train. They have a show that airs on Wednesdays and functions as a mini WWE. NXT itself is supposed to mean next, as in the next stars of the WWE.

Hope that helps.

1. Yes the matches are pre-determined. They know the results before they go out there, the ref and the competitors.
2. WWE has RAW on Mondays, Smackdown on Fridays, Main-Event on Wednesdays, Superstars on Thursday or Friday (i don't watch this one). They have a lot of shows throughout the week.
3. NXT just means the next generations. They're all developmental talent, rookies trying to make it to the main roster in WWE.

Glad you're enjoying WWE. It's rare i hear that nowadays.
