WWE officials are currently looking at doing a champion vs. champion program with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns, according to F4Wonline.com. Plans can always change but the idea is to do the feud in December, perhaps for the December 18th Roadblock pay-per-view from Pittsburgh.

As noted, Reigns appeared on Sunday's RAW Talk Hell In a Cell post-show and made it clear he wants to add Owens' gold to his collection, saying he can get the job done where Seth Rollins couldn't.

"I've got two shoulders, God made them broad," Reigns said. "I've got one strap. I'm looking for another."

Eh, I guess I wouldn't be too high on the idea of this happening (assuming the rumor was true) because Y2J/KO seems like the natural and logical way to go, but what do you all think of this?

So they put US championship on Reigns and revert him to being in the world championship title hunt...kewl. What was the point of the last 3-4 months then!? This rumor doesn't make sense but I wouldn't put it past WWE. Jericho V. Owens seems like the more logical storyline to have going into WM33.

Vince probably doesn't realize that putting the Universal title on Reigns would lead to those loud boos towards him yet again. Oh, well.

And yes, Y2J vs KO seems like the natural and logical way to go after Survivor Series.

Now, I doubt Jericho will stick around all the way till Mania (Idk when he's off to start touring with Fozzy and eventually release a new album), so WWE booking KO vs Y2J for Roadblock and Royal Rumble is a plausible scenario in my book.

If this is the culmination of his feud with Rusev then what was the point? Surely he could defend the US championship in a similar fashion to John Cena's last title reign. They're other babyfaces on the roster that could fill the main event if given the proper treatment like Sami Zayn, though I'd argue it might be too early for their patch's to cross again but its an option nonetheless. Anyone is better than Roman.

Sooo...

- As noted, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens vs. WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns has been announced by the PPG Paints Arena for the December 18th "WWE Roadblock: End of The Line" pay-per-view from Pittsburgh. It should be noted that their announcement does not say the match will be for the United States Title, just the Universal Title.

If the rumor has any truth to it, KO wins then.

They're just throwing him right back into the main event with no logic because they can & Vince will not give up on getting his own way. He's a child. They're basically saying:

"Ok... I think the heat is off of us now for the drugs Roman was doing, we will just hand him the strap out of the blue"

It's crap.

I can see their final match in the feud being at Royal Rumble & then I thought maybe Finn winning the RR match to make it Reigns Vs Finn at WM33 but now that Finn is returning at RB as well and not at RR I'm not so sure..... maybe Rock comes out as #30 ......who ever wins the RR I'm guessing will face Reigns.

Imagine Daniel Byran lol

You should take both rumors regarding Reigns vs KO and Finn returning at Roadblock with a grain of salt. Nothing's been confirmed yet.

And now there's a rumor floating around that says the ME at Roadblock will only be for KO's WWE Universal title.

But yeah, I agree. Roman getting thrown right back in the ME scene wouldn't help his situation. He'd get booed even louder. But oh, well. That wouldn't be on him, it'd be on Vince's own stubbornness.

And if they don't take the logical and natural route that is KO vs Y2J after Survivor Series, then I don't know what to say other than: :quimby:

I would really love to see KO trying to dodge Jericho & then taking him out from behind in a dramatic chair beat down or something... runs him over with a car lol

Then after KO successfully defends his strap at RR.... Y2J wins the RR match "I'M COMING FOR YOU JUNIOR!!"

I'd personally like to see Owens vs. Jericho in a Title for List Match...
So if Owens wins it becomes the "List of Owens" and then he can
burn it in metal trash can in the middle of the ring.

I no longer really care about Roman Reigns...the WWE will continue
to push him...and most of the fans will continue to Boo him loudly...
Boos Forever...

I personally don't like the fact that Reigns has the US title if he's
going back into the main event scene.

Give the belt to someone else...someone who really needs it
to further their career...like Sami Zayn or Cesaro...or just give
it back to Rusev.

I hope this doesn't mean the IC Title will end up on RAW...that
would really hurt SmackDown.

Also...on the subject of titles...I say bring back the European
title and have it drift between the brands and spotlight the
lower mid-card guys...Just an idea.

I'm wondering if the whole having the crowd boo Roman is really what they're going for or if they really are trying to turn things around for him... like many have said before, any reaction is a good reaction in this business. Just ask John Cena.

I don't think they want him to get boo'd THAT bad..... I mean atleast with Cena it was a mixed reaction, most of the time. Either way the dude sucks

:pity:

I'd love to say it isn't a bad idea because it IS a fresh matchup. But I'd much rather see Jericho instead of yet another Owens title defense guaranteed to end in interference

KO vs Reigns is now official for Roadblock: End of the Line. I guess that rumor was true after all.

I expect KO to retain somehow.

I doubt HHH will be interfering since he has a grudge against Rollins, who will most likely have a match against Y2J.

And yes, they've been teasing the JeriKO break-up, but I don't think WWE will swerve us by having Y2J come to his best friend's aid yet again. Although, I wouldn't be surprised.

So, I guess KO will cheat his way to win and retain the title all by his lonesome. Fine by me.
