9-year-old girl accidentally kills shooting instructor with Uzi

"An Arizona gun range instructor was accidentally shot dead by a 9-year-old girl he was showing how to fire an automatic Uzi, police said.

The little girl’s parents were using cell phones to film the tutorial when tragedy struck around 10 a.m. Monday, Sam Scarmardo, the manager at the Arizona Last Stop gun range, told the Daily News.

Charles Vacca, 39, was shot in the head when the Uzi recoiled in the girl’s hands, sending 'the weapon over her head,' the Mohave County Sheriff’s Officer said. The Lake Havasu City resident died at a Las Vegas hospital around 9 p.m. Monday."

Sure, don't let little kids handle weapons they cannot control. His hands should have been on her arms helping to keep control.

This is a one in a million deal, and there is a reason you only see these in the news as opposed to the kids who have saved lives defending their homes and possibly their lives from intruders. I could see maybe Uzi's being a 15+ or certain lb need, as well as any weapons of that nature. It's a shame it happened.

I'm not against guns to the people with a certain control. I mean, it's the government's job to protect citzens, giving them guns is just irresponsible IMO, there is actually a trade on deaths once guns become legal, domestic violence reaches an all time high, while street violence and crimes have a slight decrease, a decrease that could be managed with enough police force and government investment. So yeah, I believe petty criminals can be averted with proper security management, while a crazed husband with a gun(or son, or whatever) can't.

Yeah showing a 9 year old how to fire a FULLY AUTOMATIC UZI is the problem here.. There's no problem with gun control, as you saw in the video she fired a single shot just fine..

26th August, 2014: Mohave County Sheriff's officials released this video of shooting instructor Charles Vacca, of Lake Havasu City, moments before he was accidentally shot by a 9-year-old girl he was teaching. Authorities say the girl pulled the trigger and the recoil send the gun over her head. Vacca later died of his injuries.

The incident occurred at the Last Stop shooting outdoor range in White Hills.

This video stops before the actual shooting occurs.

Just a simple question, Why should a 9-year old to learn to use an UZI for?
