TUCSON - Source stell News 4 that 13 people are shot, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, and six people are dead after a man opened fire at a northside political event held by the Tucson congresswoman.

No confirmation on Giffords' condition at this time, but sources at the scene confirm that the shooter is in custody. It happened at the shopping center at Ina and Oracle this morning.



Law enforcement agencies confirm that the FBI is now handling this investigation.

Not sure if any of you guys heard about this or not but heard about it watching the news. One of the people who ended up getting killed was a 9 year old kid. Very sad and hope everyone who hasn't died pulls through. This is def gonna change how politicians go out and do these kind of events.

Fuck sake people piss me off. From what I read on the NineMSN article, there's a group of people opposing national healthcare or something like that (correct me if I am mistaken), which is stupid.

Good shit that the arsehole got caught and can be prosecuted and serve prison time, unlike other cowards who off themselves.

Yeah that is true I believe about the health care. Why? I have no idea

Considering this dude seemed to have damn near wrote a suicide note I'm fairly surprised he didn't off himself. Apparently there is another guy who is involved in this but they haven't caught him yet.

Why would anyone disagree on national healthcare? That's the thing that concerns me, I mean christ, no more insurance nonsense etc

We have national healthcare here, and it's amazing.
