At E3 the Sony guy announced that the 80gb PS3 was going to drop to 399, the price of the 40gb PS3. My question is, will the 40gb PS3 now drop in price too? They can't sell both versions for the same price, that just wouldn't make much sense.

Is the 40gb dropping too?

40gb PS3= To be discontinued


New 80g PS3= All the features of 40gb only 40 extra gb and the same price as current 40gb. No backwards compatibility or nothing else just extra memory.

I feel screwed, neither Sony or Gamestop will let me exchange my 40gb for a 80gb even though they're the same price.

I contacted both.

Yeah this sucks. If i waited a few more months i could have got an 80 gb PS3.
