ANAHEIM (KTLA) -- The Grinch not only stole Christmas from a local school, but also $25,000 worth of musical instruments.
More than 20 items, including tubas, trumpets and drums, were stolen from Sycamore Junior High School in Anaheim over the weekend.
Now the campus is without any instruments for music classes and the after-school band program. "Right now we're just trying to make sure we can do the day to day class activities for the students to keep learning and practicing," principal Joe Carmona said.
The school is asking for the public's help to recover the cost of the stolen instruments. Tubas alone can cost up to $5,000 -- and the school's theft insurance policy may cover only one-third of the cost.
"We're getting a plan together for how we're going to do our performances, maybe borrow some instruments," Carmona said
