Simple enough, your predictions for the upcoming year. This can include title holders, fighters being released or retiring, anything really. What do you think is going to happen in the world of MMA in the next 12 months?

Cormier v Jones. He's too good for most of the LHW's and poses all the threats of Hendo only much more significantly, with a real chance of beating Jones (as long as he doesn't break his hand again). If Cormier does go to LHW as it seems he will, its not like there's a long list of potential opponents for Jones after he beats Sonnen. If Cormier looks good in his UFC debut he probably get a shot ahead of Gustaffson.

Anderson Silva will clown Bisping, and he'll destroy Weidmans career with all of Weidmans bandwagon fans then labeling him a nobody who was rushed to the top. We all know it'll happen, once Silva beats Weidman everyone will turn on him and say he wasn't ready.

Ubereem as HW Champ. Meanwhile Werdum taps Nogueira and then upset KO's JDS in a rematch. Hunt sends the Skyscraper falling back to earth but then gets wrestlefucked by the then ex-Champ Cain. All this leads to Reem-Werdum III where a Fabricio with much more confidence in his striking annoying TKO's Reem.

Oh and Dana continues to hype Silva v GSP and Silva v Jones but neither fight happens.

Dana will say that X guy or X fight is #1 contender then do a 180 turn on them and make someone else it.

I can see Anderson Silva fighting either Jonny Bones or GSP this year.

But Silva will clown Bisping and show him he doesn't belong in a title fight against him, before finishing him off with a TKO in the first round. Prob by a knee.

Cormier is gonna avoid HW so he doesn't have to fight his friend and so he winds up fighting Jones at some point, and Jones is gonna win.

We'll finally get that Hendo/Jones fight... it'll be close to fight of the year and Jones is gonna win that one.

GSP is gonna be bored after he beats up Diaz cause there won't be a challenger. Hendricks will be the name called but he'll get bested easily.

Aldo is gonna break Edgar and Edgar is gonna look to pull a Faber and drop down another weight for another title shot.

The Reem is gonna maul over Bigfoot Silva at which point Bigfoot will have one last shot before he gets canned for getting owned in two fights badly. Which point we'll finally get Reem vs. JDS for contendership. And the co main event on that card... Uncle Dana is gonna make sure Cormier comes in at Heavyweight and he'll finally get his fight against Mir. Then once Cormier drops weight... Cain will most likely fight The Reem and that'll be a crazy first and second round. Big Country will be closing in on a title shot by the end of the year. Shane Carwin will be well enough to fight one fight and then retire. Werdum is gonna close the year being within one fight of a title shot.

Looks like a crazy year. Oh yeah and New York will FINALLY leagalize MMA. That'll be the biggest win.

Dana's already said that Ubereem gets the next shot at the HW Title...oh I just realised how foolish that sounds.

Dana will say that X guy or X fight is #1 contender then do a 180 turn on them and make someone else it.

Didn't take long.

Velasquez to absolutely wipe the floor with Overeem in one of the most one sided heavyweight fights ever.

None of the titles to change hands apart from Edgar beating Aldo.

Rampage vs either Tito or Fedor outside the UFC.

Sonnen to get his ass whipped by Jones worse than Griffin vs Anderson (and I'm a fan)

Can't see Henderson beating Machida and thus no Jones/Henderson in 2013.

Dana said in the post fight interviews that Cormier can choose if he comes in at LHW or HW. Think it would be pretty silly to go in at HW for one fight before dropping down.

Big Country will be closing in on a title shot by the end of the year.
I love Roy but he's never a title contender in a million years. He's a gatekeeper though for sure.

I can. I mean if Rampage can get a win against Machida... Henderson definitely has a good shot at it. Machida isn't unbeatable and Henderson is very durable.

I just see that for one... he was gonna fight Mir in Strikeforce and trained to fight him. He is the Strikeforce Heavyweight GP champ. I think it'd be even more dumb to win all of that at HW and then come to the best organization and not even fight once in that division. I don't see a problem with fighting at one weight and then dropping down. It'd be like Silva fighting at middleweight but going up for a fight and then dropping back down. Why can't someone else come in at one weight and drop?

I love Roy but he's never a title contender in a million years. He's a gatekeeper though for sure.

I'm not saying he is gonna be a title contender. But I am sayin he is gonna be a lot closer than he is now. Basically his status will be well above gatekeeper. I mean you can't take a guy like him and just leave him at gatekeeper for his entire career. He has stand up, he has subs, he has charisma, he has durability. The guy can climb up. Hunt is more of a gatekeeper. Kongo. Big Country is gonna be on a level above them. I.E. closer to a title shot than he is now.

Big Country is the ultimate gatekeeper, anyone half decent just uses him as a punching bag for 3 rounds.

And Hendo will just look like Shogun if he fights JBJ, I never quite understood why a small LHW wrestler who has forgotten his wrestler in favour of crude headhunting is the man to beat Jones, his only chance is a H Bomb and thats only if he can get past Jones reach.

I don't think Hendo can beat JBJ... but it'd be a lot better of a fight than what Shogun put up.
