__________

NBA Finals start tonight, and while there hasn't been a ton of discussion on this board about the NBA Playoffs I'm hopeful that more will be talking about the finals. Such an awesome match up with star power, great match ups, and pretty much everything you could ask for. I think most NBA fans would have chosen this match up if they were given the choice.

I had Miami over OKC before the season started (flipped my choice in the West to San Antonio before the playoffs started) and I've had Miami winning the title all along. They are the underdogs coming into the series, which IMO suits them well. The pressure will be somewhat alleviated from LeBron not having the expectations of being the favorite. I'm taking Miami in 6 games, with LBJ being the Finals MVP.

Hopefully Oklahoma wins it. I think they're winning it in 6, but you never really know the way it's gonna go down in NBA.

I think the 2-3-2 format sort of favors the team with 3 straight home games in the middle.. I understand they do it for travel purposes because you generally have a lot more distance between the two teams in the finals as opposed to EC or WC playoffs, but 2-2-1-1-1 is a better set up for the team with home court advantage.

Can't wait to see OKC give boots to asses! But if Lebron wins a ring then finally those annoying ring jokes will stop and people will shut up about him. I personally KNOW that Lebron James is better than Kevin Durant but it's all about the team not the individuals.

If Bosh is healthy and LeBron plays like he did against Boston, Miami will win this series.

That's basically it. D-Wade is like eh now and Derrick Rose is gon' end up like him after that injury even though I don't want to believe it.

Wade is fine. He's been up and down in the playoffs but he will show up in the finals, I have no doubts about him. He lives for big games and big situations

Well lets hope that happens. I am a D-Wade fan but lately he's been sucking.

He's been up and down like I said but sucking? Come on. He torched Indiana when they needed him most after they went down 2-1 and were losing game 4, and even in an off series against Boston he averaged 21 PPG (in a low scoring series). His offense has come and gone, but his rebounds are up, and his defense has been good, just look at the number of blocks and steals he gets.

When I say sucking its because most games I don't see but when I do it's his really slump games and then I never said he sucked at the defensive side. He's so good defensively

The big key for OKC will be to not turn the ball over. They were bad about it in the regular season but they've improved their ball security in the playoffs. If you let LBJ and D-Wade get into a rhythm in transition they will torch you. Same can be said for Miami though. Turning the ball over against either of these teams is giving away points because they are lethal on the fast break.
