Ring of Honor's annual DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR event is coming to you LIVE in Internet Pay-Per-View! Emanating from Baltimore, Maryland on Friday, July 24th, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR XIII is already shaping up to be a defining moment in the history of ROH.
Following Best in the World, ROH Head Matchmaker, Nigel McGuinness, announced two monumental championship matches he has signed for DBD XIII:
Roderick Strong will challenge Jay Lethal and the ROH World Tag Team Championship is on the line in a Four Corner Survival! Here's another match confirmed for DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR on July 24th..
FIRST TIME EVER
RPG VICE (ROCKY ROMERO AND BERETTA) VS THE BRISCOES
On the surface, the tag team encounter between RPG Vice and the Briscoes seems like an energetic contest but a deeper level will give fans the opportunity to see a potentially explosive battle that could erupt at a moment’s notice. And that is just the way RPG Vice wants it with July 24th the second stop on the RPG Vice Summer Tour for Romero and Beretta.
Debuting in March in Milwaukee, the consummate counterpunchers, Romero and Beretta, have found success by frustrating their opponents and will look to do the same thing to Mark and Jay Briscoe at Death Before Dishonor XIII.
The month after their debut, Romero and Beretta surprised everyone when they captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. Now after a string of wins and several ROH matches under their belt, RPG Vice won’t be able to sneak up on anyone, especially the “Baddest Tag Team on the Planet”.
The Briscoes have never sneaked up on anyone. They will walk right up and punch any team in the mouth and never apologize. It’s that attitude and toughness that has carried “DemBoys” to eight reigns as ROH World Tag Team Champions. Not only will the Briscoes have the size and experience edge, they bring a significant home field advantage with them as Baltimore is dangerously close to Sandy Fork, Delaware. Baltimore has always been the Briscoe’s town and they will look to capitalize on that advantage.
