Georges St-Pierre has had one of the most illustrious careers inside the octagon. He holds the record for the most wins inside the octagon (19), most wins by decision (12), Most consecutive and most successful title defenses in welterweight history, and also has spend the most time inside the octagon (5:28:12). In addition, he's also landed the most significant strikes, total strikes, takedowns, and has the highest takedown accuracy.

St-Pierre left the octagon after a controversial split decision with Johny Hendricks. If you ask me, I believe the controversy is a little overblown. Yes it was a close fight, however, I believe I watched the fight and believe he did more than enough to win. After the fight, he vacated the title for a little vacation which is now held by Hendricks.

But unfortunately, as much as people are itching to see a St-Pierre Vs Hendricks 2. That won't be happening anytime soon, instead, St-Pierre has a new place on the silver screen. As many have in the past compared him to Jean-Claude Van Damme, St-Pierre will reprise Van Damme's role in a remake of 1989's Kickboxer. Although it has yet to be confirmed. Reports say that the film will also star current WWE superstar and one time amateur MMA fighter Dave Bautista.

Although they are two big names, neither will have a starring role. The main character will be played by french martial artist and stuntman Alain Moussi who is making his debut as a leading man in the movie, while Stephen Fung (Tai Chi Hero) will oversee directing duties, and Ted (Bad teacher, Springbreakers) will be producing the movie.

Alain Moussi was last seen as a stunt double on Pacific rim and Xmen: The last stand and will be making his debut as a main character. Georges St-Pierre was last seen as portraying Batroc the Leper in Captain America which marked his debut on the silver screen. And Bautista will be starring in the upcoming Marvel remake of Guardians of the Galaxy.
