How are people gonna say kayfabe is dead for years now but still get worked over shit like this. Guys, it's a house show. I remember when Triple H won the WWE title from Randy Orton in 2008 at a house show in Vienna and then they acted like it never happened until he eventually took it from him a month later at Backlash. They didn't acknowledge it on on wwe.com and not on television. The difference now is that everybody's nosy enough to record it on their phones and upload it to Youtube anyways, so WWE's doing it for them.

Kayfabe doesn’t apply to house shows most of the time, unless they’re really practicing something for the tv show.

I’ve seen Orton in his major heel days goof off and interact with the crowd like a face and make everyone crack up laughing.

If we're in 2017 still getting worked up over kayfabe...Braun Strowman just got trapped in a garbage truck for about 2 weeks and then came back with no injuries.
If you're going to complain about story continuity, complain about that. Don't complain about a fill-in for a team on a non-televised, non-canon house show where the only point of the show is to give the fans in attendance a good show.
