THURSTON COUNTY—A teenager is under arrest after a fatal shooting south of Olympia Sunday evening.
Thurston County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Lt. Greg Elwin said deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 10,000 block of Delphi Road SW about 11 p.m. Sunday.
Inside a home there, first responders found a 39-year-old man who had died of an apparent gunshot wound. Two other adults in the home were uninjured.
After a search, a young suspect was found and arrested.
Detectives arrested a 13-year-old male for second-degree murder in connection with the shooting, Elwin said.
The relationship between the suspect and the victim has not been announced, but investigators said the shooting was not a random act.
