A few months ago, WWE and TNA joined hands to form a brand new partnership. The collaboration saw multiple TNA stars appear on NXT and vice versa. Several top names, including The Hardy Boyz, Ethan Page, and many more, appeared on each other’s brands, including Joe Hendry’s Royal Rumble debut.

However, according to a recent report by Fightful Select, Hendry’s absence from recent WWE programming was addressed. As per the report, despite a pitch for Hendry to appear on Raw, it was nixed. The report notes that former long-time employee Ariel Shnerner did not agree with the creative, which would have seen Hendry suffer a loss.

One idea proposed that it could have seen a future rivalry against The Miz. However, none of that happened. Fightful Select further claimed that it was another contributing factor to WWE’s souring relationship with Ariel Shnerner. Previously, WWE NXT performers had requested Ariel Shnerner’s absence from their locker room. It was regarded as nothing personal, but to keep the locker rooms limited to talent.

In two minds about this. On one hand, it's silly to assume TNA and main roster WWE are kayfabe on the same level. But on the other, come on, it's the Miz, he's a jobber to the stars and has been for life

Gotta agree with the fact that Joe shouldn’t be losing to Miz whatsoever

And that’s no offense to Miz but in wrestling, perception is very important
