The Drought 2. Prime Wayne was ridiculous. Mental that half of The Carter III was leaked and it turned out to be a classic anyway. I probably wouldn't have datpiff installed on my phone still if his samples cleared.

Alt history where Pun keeps the weight in check...think he could've ushered in that crossover era we are in now but 20 years earlier. He was already using bilingual choruses.

The psychedelic 60s: where the drip was so clean, all you needed was a band lineup shot to make an iconic album cover. No real need to write a long blog post about this one, it's a classic rock staple, you've heard Born to be Wild, it's an inevitably, a side effect of drawing breath. Chances...

^ TES is perfect arena rap, it's the type of album you can only make when you've got that pressure of being the most famous person in the world on your shoulders. I find that the rest of his stuff is either too goofy or unnecessarily edgy. Hypocritical, I know. No, this is not a scrapped...

Yeah, I picked a good time to do a write up on an album and link a song at the end.

Where to begin with this poor bastard. Jobriath signed with Elektra(?) Records in the early 70s, managed by the guy who brought the Stones to the United States. They spend money on bus advertisements, magazines ads; including a large Rolling Stone page, and a billboard with him naked in Times...

I am quite fond of this album, Folklore. Taylor has a pretty voice, the stripped back sound compliments that well. The whole thing gives me Bon Iver deja vu in the best way. Sprinkle in The National for good measure, especially their recent stuff.

I know they're a meme band, but I'll say it and defend it: The Unquestionable Truth is better than some Rage Against The Machine albums. It rips them off pretty hard but the songs are great and the riffs are there, plus Durst is actually bringing it lyrically? It's strange how anti Bush music...

Pure Alice in Chains worship, but I like the vocals and angst ridden lyrics. Not all post grunge was terrible. Though I wish more bands tried to sound like Jar of Flies than Nevermind.

If you like guitar driven beats, this is your album. It sounds like the summer of 2008 to me, alongside Oracular Spectacular. Need to explore the rest of their discography, don't think I ever did besides a few songs, probably heard in sports games.

City Pop is a YouTube rabbit hole worth going down, some great 80s tunes out there waiting to pop up on your recommended feed. I've been addicted to this song all week, it's so comfortable. Those synths!

You can go down a few different paths after 808s & Heartbreak, a lot of hip hop was influenced by the album but a similar sound had existed in pop, and Christina did it really well.

808s & Heartbreak Kanye was making some incredible pop music in the late 2000s. I miss this sound, it's too bad the critics were lukewarm on the album as a whole.
