This has nothing to do with the thread, but I loved that women nXt, prol my fave rasslin show ever. Michael Cole and CM Punk were GOLD on commentary.

Say what you want about Cena but he's never haemorraged viewers like Punk and Bryan did. Is he gonna pull in a new audience? Probably not, but he sure as hell isn't gonna make a quarter million people change channel off during his segments like Bryan has.

He also didn't headline PPV's and his segments were stuck in the middle of TV shows. Sure he ate up a ton of airtime, but he was never presented as a main guy, and the only time he was he drew the lowest ratings since the Dark Age of Bret Hart as champ.

We will see, I have a feeling Bryan will tank as champ again tho, feel free to quote this 2 months time if I am wrong but small doesn't draw, and after the fad is over he'll be so low on the card he'll be begging Zack Ryder for a spot on his show  NO NO NO

When Bret went to WCW he tanked their ratings too tho  Bryan lost like quarter million people on Raw each week while he was big gold champ, wasn't on about Smackdown b/c it's a jobber show anyway. They put their main eventers in curtain jerker and tag team main events with midcarders...

Daniel Bryan's segments sent the ratings in the gutter in his last run as champ, no reason to believe it won't be same again. Getting pops on TV does not run parallel to being a ratings success. Bret Hart was fairly over in '96/97 and is historically the worst draw of all time.

Guys, I know it's been a rough ride these 400+ days, but FINALLY... THE RATINGS HAVE COME BACK....TO THE WWE.

The overrun always draws viewers and the other segment was down to Cena.

    "Randy Orton doesn't draw" 'k

As per the norm. Punk, Bryan and AJ turning people away. Holy shit at Sid though.

Well, JR still has Bells Palsy, so it's at least 1-1.

The number jumped for Ryback, not Vince.

I don't like wrestling matches, they are boring. I watch for the storylines as does everyone else......WWE hasn't been predominantly wrestling for a long ass time.
  18. The Cork

    WWE Television Ratings

Yeah, way to take my post out of context. Personally, I watch Youtube for who I want to see ie Orton, Ziggler and Ryback, so ratings don't matter to me anyway, but if someone is saying stuff like "Bryan and Punk aren't to blame for ratings sliding", they deserve to be called on that.

If Punk and Danielson are in a match and it loses viewers, that has nothing to do with creative. When are you guys gonna stop making excuse after excuse and admit nobody wants to see those two? "its creative" "Punk's title matches are in the middle of the show" "If WWE let them have a 3 hour...

    No ratings breakdown?
