    I would argue beating a certain opponent is as important as winning the title. Roman prevented Cody from finishing his story so therefore Cody should be the one to beat Roman. It feels like half assing otherwise.

    I had a theory that Rock beats Roman for the title and then Cody beats Roman to face Rock and then he beats Rock for the title.

    However The Rock did say on social media “we will make history and do things that have never been done before in WWE” so maybe they have some crazy plan to do Rock vs Roman but still get Cody a match and the belt.
