    Yeah, I posted that earlier. He was open to negotiation and asked not use the clause in the contract and they did it anyway.

    Glad to hear it. Cage I think is a very underutilized and underrated talent. But you can’t really blame Melissa though because prior to being booked better afterwards he wasn’t booked well before that.

    Oh these extended year options definitely exist but it’s just a bad time to use it when the talent specifically told you he didn’t want to use it when you already have a lot of bad press about you.

    Man, I also feel for Jade. She just got her break as the new TNA announcer for the TNA revival and a couple weeks later her husband basically got locked into his contract most likely against his will.

    I thought for a second myself that the only way this angle could have legs and a proper payoff is if Scott was in on it and eventually came back, but I don’t know how I’d feel about that. I doubt Scott would do that to the goodwill of the fans he’s cultivated.

    If this is some kind of angle, I really hope the creative team is at least working hard to try to come up with some kind of payoff they would make turning this bad will into an angle worth it. Because right now if this was a work, this is feels like Hulk hogan literally on live pay-per-view...

    My thought on this and the way that it was worded, I think anthem opted to just announce it as close to the way it happened as possible so that way Joshua wouldn’t publicly deny choosing to re-sign.
