Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

I hear he gets straight horny at the idea of that baby and unlike what Chris heard, I hear it's worse in the books. :TI:

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

I like most vampire fiction, but my God what was Meyer thinking with Twilight.
  3. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

More or less what I was trying to say. Though I don't mind saying the sequels had some horror elements. Just not many.

Just because he addresses you doesn't mean you have to address him back. You could just pretend he doesn't exist.
  5. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

Remember when this was about Resident Evil and Alien?
  6. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

I'd never argue Aliens ISN'T a horror film, just that Alien is more based in horror and Aliens is more action-horror.

Well said. Mila is a sexy and bad ass chica, too.
  8. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

I just really enjoyed them because I got to see the whole franchise in the theaters and they were just fun films. I was probably the opposite of you in that I was more disappointed after the first one came out due to it not being like 1, 2 or 3, but came to like the films for being themselves...
  9. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

Two and three are still good films, but they're hardly horror films, though. More sci-fi action vessels similar to Aliens.
  10. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

That's the point I was already trying to make. I said I like the first film and it's a decent horror film. That's why I said the only knock people really have with it is it wasn't a copy of the first game, but honestly it didn't need to be since it still emulated the concept pretty well. I...

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

The sequels were trying to be sci-fi action vessels. Which is why I don't mind referring the first one as a decent horror film. Its only fault is not being film based on the first game, and instead just on the concept. I still like this one, though.
  12. Kross Rhodes

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

I'm actually a big fan of Apocalypse, but I don't know if I can vote for it over Alien.

Best Horror Film Round 1A: Alien (1979) (8) vs Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) (57)

No more of these barbs flinging at each other. Keep it about the thread topic and keep it classy as you suggest or things will get official. Please and thank you.

First thing's first; opinions aren't facts. You're entitled to yours, he's entitled to his, and I'm entitled to mine. It's also not helpful to basically beg someone to infract you. Isn't there a less confrontational manner in which you can disagree?

No one should be railroaded for this nominations, but I like to keep everything in the open when I do it. You can keep it doing it your way, though. Just throwing my two cents out there.
