I agree. Rooney is still a good player but is past his best and Utd need to cash in on him sooner rather than later. Would rather have Mata all things considered, but I doubt Chelsea were really offering him. At this stage I see him staying one more season, before moving abroad next summer. -

Have to say it was a joy to watch France in the Women's Euros tonight they are the complete package and my pick for the tournament now. England are a shambles and should have finished have been able to finish second in the group. -

If you think about it though Arsenal have a good young team who are only going to get better, they don't really have any more star players who are to leave and if they add two or three really class names I can't see them being far off. People have been saying they will drop out of the top four... -

Got to side with Cork on this Spurs/Arsenal debate. Spurs are a good team and did better than expected last season, but Arsenal are just going to get better. If they sign a few top players and tighter up at the back (which there was signs of last season) then I don't think they will be far off... -

If you believe that he is a Arsenal fan and they make an offer then that is possible, but we won't sell for cheap and you get the impression that they already have their landmark signings lined up. Not sure about Spurs, depends on the offer and if he is willing to take a chance on missing out... -

Brighton would have had a good chance if not for the whole Poyet mess. Now I think mid-table or at best an outside shot at the play-offs awaits. Wigan and QPR I agree with and also think the likes of Leeds, Reading and Bolton will be in with a good chance. -

Maybe not, but I just find it hard to believe that he doesn't believe Chelsea will be a major threat to the title next season, with the squad they already have and then adding a manager the class of Jose expect them to be right up there, whether it will be good in the long term is a different story. -

Fair to say England had their fare share of luck in getting a draw out of Brazil, still great moment for AOC. Hart's best performance of the season too.
