I was at this show back in 2002. Seems a life time ago now. Bit of a indie gem, not just the match but because Eddie returned to WWE two months later.

Ted Dibiase and Virgil VS. Dusty and Dustin Rhodes, Royal Rumble 1991 *** The match is nothing spiecal. But I enjoy it because of the story of Virgil's turn at the end. The crowd hit and pop for that moment was really good. Also the way Dibiase carries the match is great.

Poor Terry Taylor. He's over shadowed his whole career and they stick him in there with one of the hottest heels in the biz in a heel vs. heel match :lmao Basic TV match. **

An iconic title change. The two told a good story in just seven minutes. There were some nice spots and good crowd heat. The finish was great too. Vince saying Honky doesn't deserve a title shot added to the shock finish. ***

Not much of a match but always good seeing two old school beasts. Plus Michael Hayes as play-by-play man is different for WCW. This had to be one of JR's last appearances too. *1/2

Lex Luger VS. Lodvic Borga - October 1993 A useless and sloppy match made even because its so slow and drawn out. As someone said on Youtube this is probably the feud which killed Luger's singles push (not that it was succeeding anyway. *

Eddie's WCW debut. He looks pretty good. The match itself is alright, with some rough patches. Strange finish. **1/2

NWA Title match Ric Flair (c) VS. Sting Great American Bash 1990 **** A proper big match main event. A compelling and emotional end to a classic slow burn storyline. Great drama, and psychological. The crowd heat was awesome and JR did a great job calling it. Sting ended up looking like a...

NWA Tag Title match Doom (W/Teddy Long) VS. The Rock 'N' Roll Express Great American Bash 1990 ***1/2 The perfect example of a classic big team vs. small team match. Morton's selling and comebacks are something special. I love the contrast in style, the pacing of the match and how the crowd...

To be fair I could have gone up to 3 stars, but it was a little sloppy at times and was short. But it was solid. Luger's match with Dan Spivey from 91 was even more of a surprise.

U.S. Title match Lex Luger (c) VS. Mean Mark (W/Paul E. Dangerously) **1/2 A better match than you would expect.

El Gigante, JYD & Paul Orndorff (The Dudes with Attitude) VS. The Four Horsemen (Arn Anderson, Sid Vicious and Barry Windham (W/Ole Anderson) Great American Bash 1990 ** Not awful but a pretty forgettable filler match. It does a good job of protecting El Gigante and making his rare appearances...

The Steiner Brothers VS. The Fabulous Freebirds Great American Bash 1990 *** I know people don't tend to like this match but I think its enjoyable as a basic comedy match with good crowd heat. Seeing the Steiners at their peak is always fun. The Freebirds were always solid heels too.

WCW Tag Team Title Match: Sting and Lex Luger VS. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson WCW Nitro 06/10/96 *** A solid main event.

The Nasty Boys VS. Public Enemy WCW Nitro 06/10/96 *1/2 Utter shit! Public Enemy may have been one of the crappist tag teams in history:cornette

Scott Steiner VS. Booker T WCW Monday Nitro 06/10/96 **1/2 Basic opening TV match. Scott was past his prime at this point as a singles guy. Booker in-experienced as a singles guy. It was fine for an opener.

WWF Royal Rumble match 1995 One of the weakest rumble matches ever. Having guys come out every 60 secs is overkill. You can see how thin the talent roster was in 95 with all the bland jobbers involved. There's very little drama besides HBK's performance and the finish. I did enjoy Bret...

Bret Hart VS. Diesel [C] WWF Title match, Royal Rumble 1995 This is probably my least favourite of their three PPV matches. But its a good example of how to do a good face vs. face match. Bret's extra aggression is a good way to sell how badly he wants the title without turning him heel. Not...
